- Dreamweaver| 7 repliesI have been receiving the magazine, INSTYLE, which I did not subscribe to, apparently from the number, 1-800-258-3350. Looks like these publishers can no longer maintain their companies by mail subscription so they start sending them to people to get them to subscribe. What a waste of resources.
- FloridaRes replies to DreamweaverBeen receiving Glamour mag which I haven't subscribed to in over 25yrs! Called Glamour they gave me 1-800-258-3350 to call. Said it was 3rd party subscriber. Judging from the name on the magazine they are pulling very old contacts up and sending out tease magazines to promote & possibly get new subscribers. Not a good way to send a "tease" - now I have to track them down to verify if all my credit cards are cool. They should place a disclaimer in the bag when sending! Instead they irritated & wasted my time! NOT Cool Subscription CO!!!!!
- FloridaResIf you call and try to block your number(*67) first to 1-800-258-3350 - the call won't go thru - so I can't/won't call the #800 because I do not wish them to have my number. Did you call them??? I guess they can just keep sending us unwanted magazines! Now I have to find away to share or donate! lol lol

- farmer| 4 repliesI received 2 magazine subscriptions in the mail. No call I called the mag co and then the promotion # THE 2 mags sent as a promotion. Call and have them stopped. I am going to get these mags for a year. Customer service really nice person.

- Tygerkat replies to farmer| 3 repliesWait - I'm confused. First you say "call and have them stopped". Then you say you're "going to get these magazines for a year". So which is it? And why did you look the number up if you know to whom it belongs?
- elizabethgot a copy of a magazine called W in my mail today. I didn't buy it. so I called W and went thru their automated system. Their robot voice said they could not cancel and gave me number 800-336-6069 to call and cancel, promptly discontinuing the call without even a goodbye. Turns out that number is a KNOWN scam number for great American Readers that charges your debit card they pull from other magazine subscriptions SO WATCH YOUR STATEMENTS. I called W magazine back and FINALLY broke free from the automated call system and was able to talk to a rep who gave me this phone number 800-258-3350 which is a company located in Southern California. You know the place. The land of the crazies who want to tell the entire nation what to believe/act/do/vote...........and apparently buy. So. Turns out when you complete those on-line surveys for evaluating customer service (also generated in California) you earn points. When you earn so many points you get rewards. guess what the rewards are. magazines. seems I've gotten/won/earned a the no one reads marshmallow fluff aka Vogue, this ridiculous girly magazine called W and the old lady favorite of all time Redbook. NONE of which I will ever have any use for. All of which they said were free for the year. And none I want to cross my door, Ever. They cancelled the three free subscriptions. They also put me on a do not process list, so if I should EVER dare to complete another survey I will not be getting magazines I did not order as boobie prizes.

- elizabeth replies to Tygerkat| 2 repliesI did the same. called to have them stopped. turns out they are 'earned' mags for filling out customer service surveys on-line. you get/earn these random mags for a year free of charge. for some people free is free. for me I stopped the subscriptions and had them blocked from processing anymore.
- Tygerkat replies to elizabethYou replied to me but still didn't answer the question I asked "farmer" - why did you look the number up if you know to whom it belongs?
- TitoThey did not call me though I found the number for this company when I tried to cancel subscriptions to magazine that I did NOT order that magically began appearing in my USPS mailbox. How is it legal for any company to sign me up using my information for a product or service that I did not authorize? Unethical at best.

- Rhanda replies to elizabethHow did you get them blocked. I just received the sports illustrated and am trying to find out if my card was charged and how to get them to stop
- Ashley| 1 replyFor about a month now I’ve been receiving three different magazine subscriptions that I did not purchase or sign up for. I called Sports Illustrated customer service and she gave me this 800 number and told me it’s a company called Fabco. Around the same time these magazines were ordered, I started receiving a lot of spam phone calls, emails and text messages. I’m not sure that the two are related but my fear is if I call this number, will I get even more junk tying up my phone and email?

- L.k.Entertainment weekly did not order, when I called she said she could not hear me (cough, cough) and hung up
- Theresa replies to Dreamweaver| 2 repliesI have started receiving People magazine in Spanish. I don't speak Spanish. I called People magazine and instructed them to stop them, now I am trying to reach this third party company that ordered the subscription.
- Theresa replies to AshleyYou may be right. Now that I think of it I have been getting calls from weird numbers. There may be a connection after all.
- Teresa replies to TheresaSame thing happened to me and I do not speak Spanish either. Also I do not recall filling out any customer service survey (?). I do not make it a habit of filling those out so I do not know how Subco got me name and address (?).
- Teresa replies to TheresaI too am receiving People in Spanish. I contacted the magazine and they said it came from Subco a third party affiliate. I don’t want nor can read the magazine so I guess I’ll put it in a waiting room for Spanish reading people to read.
- madison frersi was given this number by the people automated phone line in order to cancel a subscription i did not order. however there wasn’t anybody available on this line any of the 10+ times i’ve called it. how was anybody able to actually cancel this bullish*t?!
- Gordon Liddy| 4 repliesThis number appeared in 800 notes
After reading some replies, it seems people are clueless...
If you dont want the magazine as I got 2 .. Bloomberg business week and the other is conde naste traveler..
First thing I did was check my credit to see if anyone opened up an account in my name..
Then I contacted Bloomberg to see who was behind the subscription..
Nice lady said Subco subscribed as 3rd party and gave me the number to Subco.
I told Bloomberg rep to unsubscribe and she did..
Since my brother in law likes conde naste traveler
I will keep that sunscription for 1 year and then cancel it..- Caller: Subco

- BigA replies to Gordon Liddy| 3 repliesI guess I don't understand how this could possibly be valid when some third party company signs you up for magazines that you never ordered and then you have to pay for them. Your post reads like a shill post for this scam outfit. I will give you some extra time to reply to me before I report your shill post to the mods for removal.
