- gg| 1 replyreceived 2nd People magazine in mail today. I never ordered this. I called People magazine they said a 3rd party company ordered it for me. I tried to get an answer as to if i was going to be charged for this, the representative said she could not answer this but that I have to call the company Fubco at 1800-258-3350 who is the 3rd party that ordered this thing for me. Say which is it Fubco, Subco, or Fabco. The time magazine rep. spelled out Fubco and I've seen on these posts Subco and Fabco attached the phone number 1-800-258-3350.

- BigA replies to ggNot surprisingly, this subject has been extremely highly publicized. If you receive something in the mail that you did not order it is a gift. Also not surprisingly this subject is easily searched on the internet using the search engine of your choice.
For instance, using Yahoo the Georgia Consumer Protection Bureau issued this: https://consumer.georgia.gov/consumer-topics/ ... nding%20payment.
Bankrate tells us this: https://www.bankrate.com/finance/smart-spendi ... erchandise.aspx
Even more importantly the FTC weighs in: https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0181-unordered-merchandise
So, there you have it. Stop worrying about it, enjoy the magazines, donate them to a hospital or some other place like that after cutting your name and address off the mailing label, or recycle/throw them out. Then move on with your life. - Grace Howell replies to BigA| 2 repliesI'm getting magazines at my address for 3 other people. I called the magazine company, and they gave me another number and nobody answers.
- BigA replies to Grace HowellYour point is? Are you paying for those magazines? I bet not and if they are billing you then you can easily stop that from happening.
- MikeHuntleton replies to Grace HowellIf they are not addressed in your name, you can simply write return to sender and let the US Postal service deal with them. Technically it is illegal to do anything with mail not addressed to you other than return it, not that anyone will care about magazines if you trash it, keep it or donate it.
