CALLED BY NAME ( THEY KNEW THE NAME ! ) . ENDED CALL REALIZING THAT IT WAS A SCAM.
called again in a month. didnt pick up. no message left.

dont pick it up !  they might be recording your voice for scam .

Recieved 11 calls from this number.  I blocked them but they keep calling.

THIS NUMBER KNEW MY FIRST N LAST NAME, N RECITED WHAT SCOTIA USUALLY SAYS ON CALL. troll them or don't respond, n block asap. so scary how scams are now

They asked about MORTGAGE

You think that this bank called you about a mortgage or they called you because you are behind on your mortgage?

Just called me as well, claiming they had mortgage insurance to offer me and asked for my postal code to verify for "security purposes". Very slick process, almost fell for it.

This number has called me about 25 or more times but my phone is always on silent and I don’t answer calls unless I really know who it is. Seems from a little research that it’s definite some persistent scammers trying to take advantage of people! Will be blocking this number and hope they don’t call again.

Just financed a car and it's with Scotia Bank. I have no other dealings with Scotia. Keeps calling never leaves message. I don't answer calls from anyone but family and friends. Leave message and I will call back if it's legit. No message and I block.

I see a lot of ppl saying this isnt Scotiabank, but it is. I just got off the phone with them, and its a legit number. But I know it can seem sus when the call doesnt come up as Scotiabank.

So, you can provide us with a link to a Scotiabank webpage that displays this number, right?
But, even if it is a Scotiabank number, scammers can easily spoof any number, even this one.
They can also notice that their scams are being pointed out on sites like this one and send shills to try and claim that everything is fine and trustworthy when it is not.
