800-266-0143

Winning Number Announcement Hotline from PCH.

Keep getting calls from this number and I do not know who it is.   I get several similiar calls like this and then they hang up.  Wish they would stop.

Publishers Clearing House... Watch these guys because they will put your phone numbers out to other "SHADY" supposed winning prize spammers!

Publishers Clearing House.  The # was printed on a recent sweepstakes/sales mailer (Jan. 2018) from PCH requesting recipients to call 800-266-0143 if not ordering any merchandise from their mailer.  I suspect they record the numbers of those who actually do call and then harrass them with telemarketing calls, as then it would probably be legal since you, i.e., contacted them first.

"I suspect".  Then you have no proof?  "it would probably be legal"  Again we are surmising things?  The only call that would be legal is if you called them and asked for information and they then had to call you back with the answer.
Oh, and one other thing, have you ever heard of "Caller ID Spoofing" where they make the caller id show up as a bonafide company number?

Cannot get in touch with Publishers Clearing House, therefore sending you this card

Number is printed on the front of publishers clearing house mailer, July 2020 with this note: “before you open this envelope, call 1-800-266-0143 for an important message,”   It was just a recorded message about sweepstakes entries.
