It is Compass Bank (I have accounts there) 1-800-COMPASS (800-266-7277).

I have accounts with compass also and was expecting a call from them, but I was on the other line with my wife and they didn't leave a message. When I called the number back, all I received was a loud beeping noise.

Annoying.

I didn't get a message from the caller, but when I dialed the number back, I reached BBVA Compass.  I don't have any Compass bank accounts.  I have no idea why they would call me.

compass bank collections dept. calling anybody and everybody trying to find a turkey that owes em money.  they called me because i have the same last name. go figure!!! they use the 800 number to cover for their real  number. probably works sometimes and when you call back, the 800 number goes to customer service.

Its bankers looking for banking things

BBVA / Compass is notifying customers of their new BBVA Wallet app for iOS and Android.  They didn't leave a voicemail for me, but I called back and was told that was likely the content of the call.

Just got a call from 800-266-7277 message was left along with a different number to call and press #2. When I did the #2 option was for contract funding or reserve and I have no idea what that is for plus I do not have any business with BBVA compass.

Called and said they were from the "customer service department" of the phone company (Spectrum; business has AT&T), and who they should talk to if someone had inquired about changing their phone number. Wasn't BBVA as other callers have said; likely a spoofed number.

Claim to be compass. Was transferred 11 hundred times to find out simple info. Very suspect to me. And the representatives seemed very confused about retrieving information.

Someone is spoofing the number and pretending to be BBVA. Years ago I had a BBVA checking account. I typically don't answer numbers I don't know. They called me, I ignore it. They call me again immediately, I ignore. They call a 3rd time back to back, I answer and remain silent, they remain silent, I hang up. They call a 4th time, I say hello. They ask for me by name, I tell them it's me, and they tell me they are the BBVA fraud alert and tell me there is suspicious activity on my debit card in Atlanta and ask if I have been traveling. As I mentioned, I don't have a BBVA debit, so I tell that to this guy, whos reply is "Oh well then s*** my d***" I just laughed and hung up. Point of story, it is NOT BBVA calling more than likely.
