They called,said I needed to repay my MC credit card debt from 2003 of 14k,I got all their payment information and promised to send amount in full by Thursday..they really believed me too,,f*ck these scumbags,they have no rights or jurisdiction on any debt..tell them to beat it..

They keep calling me. Glad I didn't waste my time answering the phone now :)

Got a call today from 800 270 9938. It was an automated message looking for me. Had to press "1" to get connected. Person on the line immediately asked for my name and date of birth to verify who i was. Well i said, you are calling me-so you should know who you are calling i said, so if you dont know who this is- i sont want to deal with your business...and hung up. Btw- They r getting the contact info from CIBC bill payments as one source, because its the only place i have disclosed my UNLISTED cell number too in the past 90 days.

I was called by their office No info or case #- just a threat of seizing assets or  home ! Wow ! sheer ignorance unprofessionalism

Ive been getting calls ereday saying a owe money from a tv comapay fron 4 years ago! Whoch i paid off! The company is veritas allience. Is this a scam! They called my mother inlaws ph which is strang how they even got that number

called me on thursday last week. They tell me i have a 15 year old MBNA mastercard debt.    The guy told me some [***] about coming after my mortage etc etc, i dont even own a home. As i was talking to him on the phone the guy was such a rude son of [***]. I found there adress which was 10 minutes away from my house in richmond hill. I was going to go to their office and make a scene but after i said i know where the office is and he will see me soon, they haven't called back.  MR. RICKETT was the name the guy used (fake i suppose)

The call is animated for  Ron with a number to call supposedly oweing them money, they call almost everyday to-day it was 7.27 p.m, not just this number, but different ones,

Any kind of answer is a confidence boost they'll be able to scare you into either returning the call, or paying a bogus debt. It doesn't matter if you're Ron or not, they're surely to be willing to steal your money and whatever else they can trick you out of. If there's no answer at all, their confidence lessens and they often quit wasting time with you.

I receive multiple calls from this number a day. They always call me at when im at work so I am never able to answer but I already know its not for me. I have had my number for over 5 years and apparently the women that had it before me is in a bit of deep water. I have answered the phone before for similar numbers and informed them that I am not Angela Cranky but apparently they don't believe me. If Angela sees this then get your life together and update your number! So far ive found out that she banks at TD, is a huge partier and is in huge debt!

this number has been calling for a long time,  I just let it go ,,,they say if you are Ron push 1.  I ignore cause I don't owe a thing.  they answer with Veritas Alliance. when called back.

Called us from that number looking for someone who doesn't reside here.Became rude when I told them that and said why would they be using your number then.I said I have no idea and he was still rudeI told him he called me I didn't call him had no idea why and I said goodbye and promptly hung up.Tired of rude people calling for someone who isn't connected to our phone number and doesn't reside here.

I got similar situation just like you. I missed a Bell bill once last December, and paid it off soon. Don't know how I've been receiving calls from them in the last 4 weeks. I didn't take their any call as mostly I was working that time. Anyway, they are very annoying calls.

Been getting this call and text messages on our cell phone number that we have had for 5+ years. We called them back tonight because we want it to stop!!! They are a collection agency out of Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. They said that "the last know documentation of a contact number was this number, last used in 2008 !!!" The company rep on the phone told me that they have taken our phone number out of their data base and we won't be bothered anymore -- doubt that, but we will see.

the correct name of the company is  Veritas Alliance, Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. Sorry!!! I was so damn mad I typed before I thought!!!

These pricks call me 3-4 times a week!  I settled all debt in 2010.  Now they start to call?  They say I owe interest on a specific account?  I can't believe they are able to just keep pestering everyone.  It's gross!!

Similar story here. My cell keeps getting called by these people asking for the person who must have had the number last year or earlier. I figured out it was a debt collector by tracing the incoming number. I've even answered and talked to them and explained the number has been recycled by the carrier so I have no connection to their deadbeat. A couple of their operators have politely said "Okay." and even agreed to make a note of that, but, still I get the calls regularly. My guess is that the poor schmucks working in their boiler-room handling these robo-dialled calls do not have the ability or inclination to actually remove a number from the list.
