no voice mail.. 3 calls within one hour.. no caller ID.. no message... I am going to block them..

How do you block?

We are senior citizens.  About a month ago, we picked up a little Cricket phone to use in case of emergencies while our regular phone was being repaired.  According to the sales representative, we were the ONLY people who had EVER had this telephone number.  We immediately began receiving calls from people demanding that we put "Audrey" on the line right away.  We explained that we had NO idea who "Audrey" was and that they were calling the WRONG number.  In spite of what we told them, they kept right on calling us - over and over and over again.  ALL of our phones have been listed with the Government's No Call Registry.  Even after we explained to these people that our phone IS listed with the No Call Registry and that we HAVE been filing complaints about all of these unwanted calls, we kept right on receiving the unwanted calls from these people.  We suspect that they are either telemarketers, attempting to promote some type of credit card scam - or else they are some type of persistent collection agency.    They have never told us the name of their organization.  They usually hang up as soon as we begin asking questions about them.

Sounds more like a debt collector then a telemarkter!

While it's possible you've a virgin number, the odds are against it. Phone numbers are finite and have to be re-assigned as numbers are changed for a zillion different reasons. Congrats, you've Audrey's old number! Buy a whistle or air horn and use it, or tell them your <insert ethnicity here> attorney's in the building, make them wait a few minutes, then begin speaking gibberish with the phone held upside down like a microphone so the caller's voice isn't in your ear. Never respond to anything they say but speak gibberish *at* them. I favor the air horn.

these people have called my hme for over a month 3 to 4 pone calls a automatic calls same tme every day and now on sundays , somethings gotta GIVE IOWE THEM ABSOLUTLY NADDA ,A ........ THING

A message was left from this number, and it is Sallie Mae.

This is Sallie Mae. Annoying as hell. Was worse is that they've been paid and they are still calling.

Sallie Mae. I do not have an account with them. It is someone trying to fish for info.

It is not Sallie Mae.  Sallie Mae's number is 888-272-5543.

I got at least 2 phone calls per day from this number for several weeks.  When I called back they stated it was regarding a loan I supposedly co-signed for "richard gleaser".  I have no idea who that is and I did not co-sign.  They said they could provide no further information unless I provided a SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. Of course I did NOT provide it and asked to be taken off their phone list which after several more calls, did stop.

FAKE ATT SCAM CALLS ABOUT RECEIVING 500$ (looks like other people got messages from sallie mae, I am sure they're just recycling the number with more scams!)

I called this number by mistake thinking it was Sallie Mae. Sallie Mae's # is 1-888-272-5543. I mistakenly dialed 1-800-272-5543. An automated message asked me to take a survey and said I won a cruise then it hung up. When I tried to call back it said the call couldn't be completed.

Not Sallie Mae. They are 888.272.5543. This is an 800 number. Now it's a scam cruise promotion.

Harassment calls every morning at 8:00 sharp. Calls at least 3x a day. Who are these people and how can I block them. Very frustrating

Likely Navient, who took over for Sallie Mae. They call from a whole host of  numbers, almost always without an ID other than the number.  Even after payment, it takes days before the calls stop.  They're obnoxious, unrelenting, and probably routinely ignored.

The same thing happened to me. # NOW BLOCKED

We have been receiving constat robo-call from this numbers.  At one time I called and spoke to arepresentative, explanind:
1- The residence of this home have been retired over 12 years.
2- There is no one at this number who has even taken student loan.
3- Asked them to remove our numbers and look for actual individual they are seeking.

The representative put me on the waiting mode and never returned.   Please assist senior citizens.

I called this number today by accident because I thought I was calling Navient. I was on the line with them for about 9 minutes, when I asked what was the name of he company once I realized I had misdialed the number. The woman on the other end disconnected the call. I called the number back and  received a message asking if I was over the age of 50 to press 1. I then called the number back and received the message that the call could not be reached from my service area. All these calls with the exception of the first was done by re-dial. I'm not sure who and why this company exist but please
