Message comes in to voice mail, sometimes on Sunday's just after 7am -- apparently a SCAM trying to perhaps frighten seniors or people who don't keep up with the amount of their phone bills -- into logging onto a web site and making a payment  (I didn't catch the website name though as I was expecting another call and inadvertantly answered -a different 800 #- as I was getting out of the
shower).  It wasn't a live person though as the message just kept going.  Sometimes the message is only a partial message.  Calls have come in from 800-274-2599, 800-123-1010, 800-726-1330, and 800-323-4622 -- All with the same recorded male voice, pretending to be AT&T (they are NOT, I checked with their "Annoyance Call Bureau" at 1-800-348-8727 who referred me to the FTC).  

Messages are as follows:

1.  "Would you log in to your account.  WE NEED YOUR $350.  At AT&T we care about you.  Thank you and have a nice day."  (800-726-1330)

2. "WE NEED YOUR $200.  At AT&T we care about you.  Thank you and have a nice day."  (800-123-1010)

3. "Log onto your account at www.  (Site name missed as was just getting out of the shower.)  WE NEED YOUR $250.  AT AT&T we care about you.  Thank you and have a nice day."  (800-323-4622)

4. "WE NEED YOUR $500.  At AT&T we care about you.  Thank you and have a nice day."  
    (800-274-2599)

At the very least they eat up your cell phone minutes, and at worst perhaps frighten some elderly people, possibly into making a payment.  In my opinion they are perhaps SCAM artists of the most despicable kind.

You may also see my other "Anonymous" posts under ANY of the following phone numbers, from which I have been receiving the same kind of calls with the same male voice recording.  My posts are dated on or about 30 March 2014, under "Anonymous" for security reasons, as I have reported them to the FTC.  Sometimes a portion of their message may be missing, but never the statement that they NEED your money, and "At AT&T we care about you.  Thank you and have a nice day." is always there on the messages I have received.
