- April MayhemThis number shows up on my cell phone caller ID like 150 times in 2 minutes. So on the 151st time I pick it up and say "I'm at work don't call back 'till after 5." and the Lad...er, ah "person" says "This is the first time I've called so you don't have to be rude!!"
I was dumbfounded!
First of all I wasn't rude, second of all...It's my freakin phone I can be RUDE if I want!!! I didn't call HER phone. @^%*@!^$#$@#!@#%^ So pist. Later I find out its this rip off company. I just got a payday loan, so they are trying to screw me over by acting as them and trying to give me another loan with a higher intrest rate and no way to pay them back.. So I'm glad she was a B$#@!@, because that prompted me to look up the #.

https://credited.com/default.aspx - Regional AdministratorThis is the 2nd time in a week I have been contacted by these scam artists! We run a business here, they asked for a specific employee who didn't even work here. I was familiar with the scam and asked for her employee ID before giving out any information. She then gave me her # and extention of 1.877.746.4993. ext 112. She explained she was with a company named, "Beacon" .. I mean come on really? I looked back to the caller ID and the number she called from was not the number she gave me. It was the 1.800.274.4159 #...DO NOT GIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION OUT TO THESE SCAM ARTISTS!! ITS CALLED IDENTITY THEFT!

- Marcia| 1 replyThey called me at least 3-4 times on my cell phone. I answered once and said, "Please stop calling!" And they didn't. It was a telemarketer. But the times they had called me I was at a meeting for work, so that made it even worse. It's a scam company.

- Miicken replies to MarciaI had just put my phone on the charger because it had died when i noticed i had 13 missed calls. They were all from the same person. I called them back and they said, "Hello this is David. Thank you for calling Financial Problems. How may I help you?" I said, "I just looked at my phone and had 13 missed call from you." They just hung up out of nowhere. I tried calling them back but they wouldnt answer. Then they called me again. I answered. They were like, " I'm sorry but the company you are trying to reach is no longer in business. Good-bye." I think it was a prank.
- DerasI was coming home from Jack in the Box, and this number called. I answered and said, "Are you a telemarketer?" They replied, "No. But we want your name and number for a survey.By the way, my name's David." I didn't give it to them because I KNEW THAT THEY WERE A SCAM FOR MONEY. I am a very wealthy person, but I didn't want a credit fraud. They kept calling and I never answered, never.

- DebtCollectingBiatch| 1 replyYou people are getting SO worked up over one phone number. Thats why EVERYONE in the telemarketing, debt collecting, and call center businesses all get together durring their free time and look stuff like THIS up on the computer just to get a good laugh. This particular number belongs to a company called beacon who gives out payday advances no more than $$200 at a time to those in need. Yes, they charge incredibly high interest, so its not worth it. As for all those pesky telemarketers, They're just doing their job.... reading words off a piece of paper, desperately trying to make a sale so they can smoke their weed or feed their families, whatever they choose to do with their income. DEBT COLLECTORS, however, can be very annoying.... i ABSOLUTELY agree. BECAUSE i am one. If you're bitching about being called by a debt collecter, GET REAL. How do you think WE feel, having to deal with all YOU sorry [***] who dont want to pay their bills. Get OVER it. Its a phone call. Life Goes on. We will continue to call and do our jobs as long as the govt allows:) ... and as long as your accounts remain DELINQUANT. idiots.
P.S. ALSO, %40 of my phone calls are listening to someone tell me what they think the "laws" of debt collection practicing are. "You arent allowed to call a CELL PHONE! Im reporting you to the BBB..." blah blah blah..... the law specifically states... there are no restrictions to MANUAL dialing cell phones. Learn the Laws before you think you have a right to say something:) Have a good one;) Talk to ya next week! lmao- Caller: my company

I have a loan with Beacon, what I find funny is that with the 3 phone numbers I have for them suddenly none of them work. They are taking my money out and I can't get ahold of them. IF you work for them please give me their working number as I can't get ahold of them. But I bet if I closed out my account they would call me back suddenly wouldn't they.- Caller: Beacon Street Payday Loans
- Compliance Check replies to DebtCollectingBiatchThe Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 (TCPA) does many things - including prohibiting debt collectors from calling your cell phone without your permission. The only way that a caller won't violate the statute is if express consent has been given. Violations of the TCPA. An unintentional call carries a damage amount of $500; an intentional call carries a damage amount of $1,500.
This is from the federal government codified ordnance.
Now granted by placing their cell phone number on the loan application they have given consent for this number to be used but please don’t act like the day of training you received with your company’s compliance officer makes you any more of an expert then the debtor that got their information from an internet lawyer. - Susie the OperatorI think this number is related to 866-225-5956 TTG Loans. Woman called switchboard over and over this morning for an employee and asked to verify employment twice. Very strage calls considering it was back to back and they knew they were getting me. All the payday loan companies should be shut down forever they are evil.

- TwoCents| 1 replyI just wanted to give my two cents on this.
The phone number given is the outgoing phone number for a specific company, Beacon Financial, based out of Nevada. The company offers $200 payday loans with an $89 processing fee. There is no interest & no other fees as long as the company is able to process the loan payment on the due date - usually your next pay day. This information is expressly provided while going through the loan process.
They do not do telemarketing. For them to get your information, you have to fill out an application online through a third party website that matches you with payday loan companies that may be able to give you a loan. For the application to get to the representatives in the call centers, YOU have to e-sign the documents online and submit the application. The "lowlifes" calling you are doing so BECAUSE YOU APPLIED FOR A LOAN. You agreed to be contacted to complete the loan process. The process does involve checking the information you provide on the application - yes, that includes banking information. Account numbers (which are given on the application) are checked, as well as the most recent payroll direct deposits from your employer (to verify pay frequency & amount to make sure the loan can be repaid in one pay period). Sometimes it is necessary to contact employers to verify certain things, but that's not normally part of the process.
This is done because 75% of the applications include false information, and if the company were to just send out loans blindly to people who applied online, they'd never get their money back and would go out of business. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, but there are thousands of people who apply for these loans through this company every single day, so someone much need or want them.
Now, if you didn't apply for a loan online, someone else used your information. Whether they just chose a phone number randomly or you have an enemy or friend that thought sending your info to an annoying loan company would be really funny, that's why you're getting the phone calls. The problem with stopping that is they go to lots of loan companies - some of which the caller ID will come up with this exact same number, because they're all under the same third party. That's why you get so many calls - it's different companies, not the same person calling over and over again.
Want them to stop? Answer the call, tell them to remove the application, and voila! the calls from that company will stop. Ask for the company name, rep name & ID # or ext, ask for the app to be removed and that's all you can do.
The bottom line is - if you don't want phone calls like this, DON'T APPLY FOR A LOAN ONLINE.
That's my two cents.- Caller: Beacon
