THIS IS NOT APPLE SUPPORT!
A robo call comes in and then you are connected to support. they want you to key in access to your computer. I hung up and called apple support- the man said "apple will NEVER call you".

Very odd.  That number has been calling me numerous times a day for days now.  I finally answered and pressed "1" to be taken to rep and it was a woman from India who asked what kind of laptop I am using and told me to log in to my Apple account and change my password.  When I asked why she needed to know what kind of laptop I am using, she went silent and hung up on me after about 10 seconds.

This could not been legit because I do not have Apple account of phone , never had it! but am receiving call today back to back.

I too keep getting robo calls from this number claiming to be apple support, but i do not own any apple devices.

Left 1 voicemail recording each day on 10/2 and 10/3/18.  Claimed to be apple and provided this call back number, 888-595-0999.  I didn't call them back.

The number itself is legit.  It DOES belong to Apple care.  But it has been spoofed by some cheats.  So the guy calling you is NOT from Apple.  Play along if you want to (like pretending you do not much about computers etc) i.e if you have time.  Waste THEIR time so that they do have less time to pull the scam on innocent people.  I did that a few times.   Now it looks like they red flagged my number and even when I press 1 no one talks to me but the call gets disconnected.  Incidentally they may even know your name (they knew my name, my wife's name and my son's who never lived with me -  but it is easy to get that info if you google) but dont fall for that.   The scam is to get access to your computer (with programs like logmein) and then put a virus on your computer and make you pay few hundred dollars to remove it.

This number has called me multiple times today telling me my iCloud account and/or Apple account has been compromised.  The number itself is Apple;s but it’s being spoofed; this is not Apple.

I got a voice mail from 275-2273 that started with "press 1 to connect with Apple Support adviser" and ended with a message to call the toll-free number 206-451-5860.

I called back. It sounds like an Apple support recording. Not sure if legit.

No MAC, Ipad, Ipod, No message left, don't believe it's Apple, Blocked forever.

This number keeps calling me telling me my Apple ID was hacked, they wanted me to press one to talk with someone. I hung up and called the number I have saved for Apple. They verified that this is a scam, they told me that they would never call for this. This company calls everyday, if you call the number back it sounds like Apple but it isn’t. I’ve reported them.

This number called me.  ID says Apple Computer.  Left no message.  I have never had any Apple Products,

This number appeared on caller Id as Apple Care. The message made no sense. I think it is a scam using their number. Be careful if you haven’t contacted Apple Support.

Got a call from this number and a partial message about online traffic and to contact Apple Support. Came up on Caller ID as follows:

Calls my house phone w recorded message about apple products I don't have, and the worst part they just called at 11:06 p.m. and woke my grandchild up, now who wants to sit up w child all nite, sure as hell not I.

The caller ID shows this number and there is a recorded message saying there is fraud on your APPLE account, which I do not have, and says to either press #1 or call an 888 number.  I pressed #1 to tell them that I didn't have an APPLE account and to please not call me again. The gentlemen had a foreign accent and said that he could tell that I was calling from an Iphone, but my phone is an LG slider, and that I needed to protect my account.  Someone has apparently hacked APPLE Care......
