I'm getting calls from this number 10 times a day! They leave no message!

I get calls from this number continuously and they leave no message! How can I stop it ?

Keep getting calls from 800 292 4008.  Computer generated.  Ends with saying cannot connect me, will try again.

I googled the number.

Got 3 calls from this number today,  no message.  Googled number and the caller is Alagasco.  Do not even live in Alabama!!

Had the same problem, I keep getting calls but they never connect

Number listed for Alagasco....I don't live in AL...so therefore no acct with the Gas Company...left a partial message on recorder about an incorrect bill...do not pay .....but call a (314) area code number with any questions...really!?

...16 minutes later...they called again and left the same partial message..

I have a cell phone that someone named shanuqua used to have. I called Alagasco explained that this cell number probably used to belong to this other person and to please remove it from their database and cease calling. They refused saying they could not do that. Its a wonderful world we live in. Landline phones
Are for haharassment so we dropped that. Regular cell phones do not have decent blockers so its smart phones with any number of free Blocking APPS.

Interesting comments. Got a call but didn't answer since I didn't know who was calling. The message they left only said "thank you for your service" but didn't say who it was from. So I blocked the number. Did deal with alagasco today but I didn't give them my number. Hubby probably did. :(

It actually is a legitimate call from Spire - the gas company. I called the number that called my cell phone from a different phone and spoke to customer service. They were wanting to add my email address to my account which I declined.

So, you dredged up this 4 year old dormant thread to tell us that this call is "legitimate".  Have you been a compulsive liar all your life?  If the call was exactly as you posted you would have no reason to have looked this number up.  Wow, are you scamming scumbags getting desperate or what?

I called this number today directly from an email I received this morning in response to a billing issue with Spire. The email suggested I call this number to resolve the issue. It appeared to be from Spire. The menu offered 3 options. First SSN, then Phone # associated with account, THEN account #. I entered account # first and stream did not recognize it. Then I tried phone #. Also not recognized. I wasn’t about to enter my SSN for ANY reason.  I called the Customer Service # printed ON THE BILL (which was different) and SPIRE couldn’t identify the # or the ticket # for the problem associated with the email. Sooooo...I would suggest NOT using this # as it seems to be questionable.

Caller said they were from Spire Gas and wanted to know if I wanted to have a new gas service connection at my address.  Wanted to confirm my address and said maybe their caller was confused about the address.  I have been at this address for over ten years.
