This number belongs to a 3rd party support desk that in itself, is legit. They get contracted out by HP, Netgear, others. I had a customer with a HP printer problem. They opened the HP Support app. Called the number which was this number. GeekWorld used scare tactics to try and scare the customer into buying unneeded extra virus protection and getting into a contract. They popped up a screen with errors, after getting remote access, that showed hacking attempts by someone trying to get into the customer's network via the printer. The printer has no bluetooth and sits behind the router/firewall. GeeksWorld would've done better to try and convince them that someone was trying to hack into their router.

Called them tonight based on a a google  search listing the number as being Linksys technical support. My experience was about the same as above. The person I spoke with insisted my network was clogged with all sorts of invasion attempts, and that he could clean it up for me. Then he said I would need to buy software....
