Same as S Bradley above, i did not call back however.  It rang once, stopped, rang again, stopped, then left voice mail.  Obviously scam as no information on what car recall "may have been issued"

Recall with bogus call back #. Recalls always come to house in a letter or use safe car.gov and use your VIN

Left a vague message about recall information on my vehicle, did not provide make or model. I looked up recall information on the manufacturere website and there were no outstanding safety issues with my vehicle.

I just got this voice mail. Dec. 8/16.
Sounds suspicious as the caller gave no description on any of my four vehicles.

Same as everyone else except I do have an outstanding recall that I get a notice for about every six months (something very minor and not worthy of a phone call).

Just for kicks, I looked for the "National Highway Administration" and they are actually the "National Highway Traffic Safety Administration".

Definitely a scam and sketchy as hell. Blocking this number!

scammers... asked how they got my number and said marketing department... asked to be transferred there and they hung up... said i owned a 2012 mercedes m class... havent had a car in over 10 years let alone a mercedes m class

There is an airbag recall, but I would suggest that you call up a dealer for the make car you have and talk to them directly.  The bags blow up and severely injure or kill people so it is important for you to be sure.

Scam!!! Just got called and hung up immediately. got a voice mail in Chinese said my bank has unusual transaction and asked me to connect to their customer service. So shocked! How did they know I have this bank account?!
