This is NOT the US Bank Fraud Department.  I just got off the phone with the REAL US Bank Fraud Department.  This is the number they give you to call the spammers after they spoof a fraudulent charge text to you. DO NOT CALL OR ANSWER THIS NUMBER.

Very disappointed in US Bank, i try to activate my new card , instead  automated service comes on , some operator came on and ask all kind of security check info, ask for my card number expiration and 3 digit code on the bank  , i feel compromised my card   and all my info..... i have to order other card , bank should pick up the bill for it or i may go to other bank very disappointed !!!

No, it's not legit. I work at US Bank and got a voicemail about fraud on my account. Actually call US Bank not the # they give you. US Bank confirmed their was no suspicious activity on my account.

They left a message on my land line, including a "fraud case number" and referred to the last 4 digits of a legitimate U.S. Bank debit card. I went online and found fraudulent activity on this card, but CALLED THE NUMBER ON THE BACK OF THE CARD.  They connected me with the fraud department, who informed me that the "case number" was not one of theirs, and cancelled the card. DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER OR GIVE THEM YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION!!

I have a US Bank account and was concerned myself after listening to the message, but it is a legit number. I called my local bank and confirmed it first. Puts a stop on your card use until the questionable activity on your card is confirmed by you, to be valid or fraud.

I received three phone calls, approx 10-15 minutes apart this morning. Googled the number and one of the results stated the number was for US Bank Fraud Department. I have several US Bank accounts, so I followed the advice in Slim's post and called the number on the back of my card. After speaking to a 'live' teller, she confirmed that the 800 number IS the number for US Bank Fraud Department and she then transferred me there. I felt this was a legit number because they called 3 times almost back to back, all from the same number.

This is a VALID phone number for the US Bank Card Fraud Prevention Services.  When they called,  the ID showed "toll free".  I was unsure about the call, so I googled to see what the correct number was for the U S Bank Card Fraud Prevention Dept.   When I spoke to a person at the main number, I was informed that 800-309-4416 IS indeed for their Card Fraud Prevention Services Dept.

A big thumbs up to US BANK.. They are truly on the ball.

Somebody in another state had charged some large purchases to my husband's business debit card.  US Bank was suspicious, so they contacted us.  They are promptly sending my husband a new card, and will be reversing the charges.

Legit for YOU does not mean legit for EVERYONE ELSE

This number is for real. I had a transaction flagged for fraud by US Bank and got a phone call from them at the same time I received an email from the business I'd ordered from saying my order was on hold due to a problem with the card.
