Bank of America check fraud dept

This number charged my account 29.99 without permision. They said they would reinburse a month ago and still nothing.

Bank America Fraud Department.  Had someone gain access to my online account; move funds; and write several bad checks.  They are investigators and can help get it all straightened out.

I pulled up my account today and saw that someone in North Carolina wrote a check for cash for $2700.00 out of my account.  I live in California!!!!

I have to call the fraud dept on Monday to get it resolved.

They're calling an office, and nobody here has an account with Bank of America.  Sounds like the first couple of posts are complete bullcrap.

BofA ACH / checking fraud dept. If your BofA check # got stolen and someone was able to fraudulently withdraw cash from your checking account, online or at a teller (using a fake ID), this is the number to call.

Sent a text saying someone wrote a check for 442.00 and call this number for fraud.

Numbers can be spoofed.  You might be a shill.
Best advice is to thank the caller, do not confirm or provide personal info and then call the number on the back of your card.

This is Bank of America’s fraud department. This number was given to me at the branch near me when I had fraudulent checks being generated and withdrawn from my account. They are pretty amazing and very helpful

Yeah, it was established as BoA's Check fraud department in the first post, 11 yrs ago.  It can also be seen in a web search results of this number...whats your point?
Scammer's spoof Bank numbers to try phishing for your personal info and then steal your money, so how is your post going to help warn people about that? Or are you trying to reassure people their caller will be legit, like one of the scammers that spoof this number would do, as a shill?

Never trust a caller to be who they claim, always call from an official number to verify if they did call.

I received a text message from this number stating someone wrote a check for $3,500 on my account. I have not had a B of A checking account for over 50 years! What is this?

Most likely they are spamming tons of phones in the hopes that someone with a BOA checking account calls them back and gives them the account number.

This is a fraud -  phishing attack.  If you answer the text Yes or No They'll respond with a fake 800 number (IN MY CASE 800-317-6345) and direct you to call the number in the text, which is NOT a BOA fraud department.  It's the scammers! They will ask for personal info to either hijack your account or steal your identity.  If you;re really concerned go to BOA's website and call their customer service/fraud number (which will not be the number in the text) and they'll verify ALL THIS.  Don;t believe the posts telling you this is BOA, they're most likely the scammers!

800-317-6345 is a phishing attack! BEWARE! They will send you a text stating that you have unusual activity in your account and test Yes or No to stop check payment. Once you text "NO" they will send you this number to call the "fraud department"...well, once you call they will get your personal information and steal your identity.

received a strange text that asked if i authorized a check in the amount of 181.49 from a SAVINGS account. i am now on the phone with Bank of America
