They called me 3 times in a row and left 3 messages. I called back to see who it was. They claim to be an unemployment office. They asked me to key in my social security number. I guess this is pretty obvious, but don't do that.

Its the unemployment office.

This number called me after midnight and said "yo I wanna know who the hell this is" I said, "you called me, who is this?" Then he said "I wanna know why you're callin my girl in the middle of the night" I said, "I haven't called anyone in hours, you have the wrong number" then he said, "quit playin with me boy" and I said "you have the wrong number" and hung up. ? I doubt that's the unemployment office

Lol that’s so funny because it’s a prank Voicemail from Prankdial.com. If you go on the website  and search up “why you calling my girlfriend” you’ll hear the same message you got lol. I can’t believe they used that on you I haven’t heard those in years

Is it the real unemployment office calling?

How could anyone know who is calling you in this day and age of scammers spoofing legitimate numbers?
This IS the real number for Employment Security Department, according to this Washington State website:

Perhaps instead of asking if someone knows who called you, it would be best to check out that website and maybe ask them if they called or not.
