    tried to say that they were the power company and that there was an imminent shut off notice. I KNOW the power company doesnt operate like that so it's total BS!

    Received an automated message from a bogus Delmarva line stating that the service would be disconnected in 30 mins. I called the number given and scammer picked up and claimed the technician was on the way to disconnect service if payment wasn't received. Waited and called back to speak to the Operations Mgr and he disguised his voice and gave another name. Beware of the scam! Still waiting for the imaginary technician. Such a waste of time!

    Received call from Connectiv that said to call because power would be turned off. Caller said letter was sent out 5/13 that we ignored regarding smart meters.  In order for our power not to be turned off in twenty minutes, I was told to pay 500.00 cash immediately. I told the caller that it sounded like a scam.  He transferred me to his manager, Jeremy Melo employee #19637. He asked if I lived by a Rite Aid or 7/11.  I was then told to buy a 5.95 corporate money pak  with $500.00 cash that I would find with the gift cards.  I was then told to call him back.  I hung up and called Delmarva who verified it was a scam.  Delmarva employee told me to ask the caller to tell me my account number.  He made some excuse that he could not give it to me.  I told him I was going to call the police and they hung up.
