- JANI just got a call from uta mr. Richard thompson called me ext 2413. He left a message for me at my work. My significant other purchased a car at a dealership and put $500 down via check. It didn't clear his financial institution because the dealer put it thru the day before he was was authorized to do so. I am not on his checking account nor do i have anything to do with it. I was just the cosigner on the vehicle. It is not my fault that it came back and i am not the one who is responsible and should be contacted about this. I want the calls to stop. They can't do anything to me and have never sent anything in writing to neither one of us. My significant other will not pay anyone that he never heard of. He will deal with the dealership but not this company.

- Widowed mom of two| 1 replyThey are theatening to have me and my son arrested. My accout was scammed 8 months ago and was told by bank all cleared up. THEY are now calling saying we owe money. I think they are the ones who stole my money to begin with in the first place, and from what I have seen by searching online I am not the only one. When questions asked about all this the woman said she couldn't answer and talk to our bank. And she hung up. 45 mins later we call back and the guy hung up on us. Smells like harassment and fraud on them, threats over state lines, over countries, and wait for it, over phone and or computers is illegal.

- Caller: "Mrs Mary Martin" ext 2226
- BigA replies to MelanieIf you went in then you must know the company name and address. Why did you not include that information? If you paid with a debit card you can dispute the transaction.
- Lisa replies to Daniel Sharpton| 2 repliesMy question is to you can United transaction repossessed cars if you owe them money
- post pending moderator approval
- B-Edwards replies to LisaThat poster was here 8 years ago, you won't get a reply. If you know you owe money on your car, yes it is possible it can be repossessed. You need to call the whoever handles the finance payments on your car and talk to them about getting current.
See the posts above from BigA and Slim. It looks like a debt collection scammer might be using this number, so if you are making payments, you also want to make sure you are paying the right company. There are crooks that will pretend they are going to repossess you car, take money and leave you even more behind in payments.
