This is a  lumpsum- settlement company please do not take a loan they are very high they wanted to give me $ 1800 and payments of $300 per month for 60 months they must be freakin crazy you will be paying back $18,000 for a $1800 loan really

A lump sum settlement company would purchase either an insurance settlement that you are receiving monthly payments on or a judgement that you are receiving monthly payments on, and give you a check for the full amount less what they want to make on it.  This would not be a loan.  So I am a little confused as to why you are saying it is this sort of compnay.  Also, what is the name and address of this company?

So is this a scam? They are telling my dad they will borrow 2300$ to him for 3 years he has to pay it back.

Plus they said this is for military retirees

I had  a similar situation and I told Nick "no thanks" and hung up and a short while ago they called, but I didn't
answer the phone. However a message was left offering assistance for a loan. I would never do business with a
company like that! I advise you to stay away!

I don't know what sort of math you are using but $300 times 36 months only comes to $10,800.  Anyone that would pay that amount of interest is certainly getting scammed.  Common sense would tell you that.
