- Two Things replies to RobThe only stupid person here is you since you think that someone who posted here 10 years ago will see your really lame insult (or maybe that was the point since you are certainly way to cowardly to insult anyone that could reply to you immediately). Now the second thing is that you must be one of those people who don't pay your bills as well since you received a phone call from the scum at this phone number. Yep, you are pretty stupid, don't pay your bills and reply to 10 year old posts. Must be way less then marginal intelligence in your case.
- MikeHuntleton replies to RobYour a Trollbie, not too bright nor original. Its as if your talking to yourself in a mirror.

- C.R.A.After calling the number back I was asked to set up a payment arrangement for a missed payment but when i told him I didn't have a checking account he hung up. I call the company back and I was actually caught up on payments.

- DickWhen I called them back they had to ask me multiple choice which one of these accounts was I associated with if they are legit they would have had that information already then they wanted me to make a payment with them right on the spot then they didn't know my account number so i just told them I'd make a payment by calling the number on my credit card. They seemed kinda fishy

- Carrie replies to trina1979| 1 replyThey are not a telemarketer, they are CFNA, credit card. They are calling me too.
They are however, ignorant and possibly breaking creditor laws.
Long story short, I have Firestone card with them. 1100.00 credit limit. It was for emergencies only! Well had one, and needed car fixed pronto! I don't have 1650.00 to come out of pocket all at once, so I brought to Firestone (surprised it wasntuch higher in price).
When payment was being processed, I stressed the URGENCY of not going over my credit limit on the card to avoid additional fees. The staff at Firestone assured me it would not be over my credit limit.
1 month later I receive a bill the standing that I am $200 over limit, And now have additional fees, and plenty of them. This is not right. I've been at work all week so have not been able to call. I will be calling them today. I've received several phone calls from them everyday to three four times a day! I feel like they've done this intentionally; Firestone got on the phone with them and asked them how much could be charged before my credit limit was reached.and was supposed to be under by $200. I will get to the bottom of this and send it to FTC. They are ABSOLUTELY violating FDCPA regulations. - CarrieCall CONSTANTLY, beginning at 8am. They were supposed to be certain that I wasn't going over my limit while getting cat repaired. I went over the limit after paying EXACTLY what they told me to pay. They pulled a fast one to get me into paying all the over credit limit fees!

- BigA replies to Carrie
No they are not since they are the original creditor and not a third party debt collector. Original creditors are only covered in 5 states. You must have known that you were over your credit limit when you signed the receipt.Quote:They are ABSOLUTELY violating FDCPA regulations. - MichaelC| 1 replyAfter doing some digging, and looking through here, this is CFNA that has my Tires Plus charge account.
- Call type: Valid
- BigA replies to MichaelCPretty much what everyone else has said in this thread. I'm not sure why you would have had to do digging though to figure out who was calling or why you thought that you needed to look up the number after you knew who it was.
- Janet replies to trina1979I agree they're sneaky sure maybe you missed a payment but it doesn't mean they should harass you if I miss a payment I have 20 days to make it before it's reported to the credit bureau and so that's what I'm doing is waiting.... I'm already charged the late fee so quit calling me and then don't be so sneaky say who you are up front and really they called on Saturday and they're not open how stupid is that....
- NonyaThis may have been legit, but I just got the well-known scam call from them today saying that they will be serving papers at my house and to make sure someone over 18 would be here to receive them. It was hard to hear a lot of it due to static (sounded like wind?) on the recording.
