Ok,  If you never get calls from outside your area your method can work.

My family is everywhere.  We are spread-out over 3 time zones.  One relative travels internationally for work.  Your method wouldn't work for me.

The company also goes by the name Converges, or something very similar to that name. Bill collectors from a past due bill from TMobile cellular.

Calls to my cell phone, usually about ten a week.

These [***] [***] and First Source Advantage have been reported to the FBI for identity theft.

Received yet another phone call from these people. I have caller I.D. and any 1-800 numbers I do not answer. I hope they  get the message I will not talk to them, period. The first time they had some guy from India who called here, didn't understand his language but he understood the sound of a phone receiver hanging up on him!

This number has been calling me relentlessly, for the past several days.  I have answered several times, however, no one was on the other end.

They just called again this morning, and when I answered, all I heard was “…calling on a recorded line for (my name).  I said, “Yes, this is her.”  No response.  So, I say, “HELLO, yes, this is her.”  Then I hear this woman’s voice say, “Okay, so that’s an official ‘non-response’ call”.  So, to me, it sounded like she was training someone to NOT respond, and then hang up, because the call was then disconnected.

My only words in response to this ignorance, is that I’ve never done any business with US Cellular, and NEVER plan to—most especially after reading all of the comments here.

Since they now have managed to get in their “official non-response”, maybe this means that they’ll finally stop calling me.  🤦🏻‍♀️
