Chase Lending. Woman said she was from the Chase Lending Review Department and that she called because anyone who has any type of Chase account including credit cards, can have their account reviewed for Lending purposes.

Received a perfectly forged email allegedly from Chase with this phone number (800-352-2159). It was NOT from Chase. I called the number on the back of my Chase card and spoke with a gentleman. After reading the text of the email to him, he explained that Chase will never include a number in an email and ask you to call that number. They will say to call the number on the back of your card if there are any issues. DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER!

received a text message saying "MSG from Chase:  your "company name here" card ending in "4 digit # here" is set for a review.  Call 800-352-2159 M-F 8am-8pm ET to discuss.  Thank you."    Not going to call this number to find out who it belongs to.  I have had this card for over 5 years and never received a text like this before.

Received a text with the last 4 of my card # and the correct type of card stating the card is set for review. Called the # and it asked for my full social, so I hung up. Called the Chase # from the Chase app, and they said their lending team did send a text and she would transfer me to them to see why I needed to do a verification on my account. The line she transferred me to didn't recognize the last 4 digits of my card # and asked me to enter my full 16 digit card # - which I didn't do. When someone finally came on the line, turns out it was legit.

Got a message to call this number - pretending to be Chase asks for card number and SSN. NOT CHASE, THIS IS A SCAM.

Called the number on the back of my Chase Card and confirmed this is not their number

Just received the same text. Called Chase's number from the back of my card and investigation led to the same conclusion. This is a SCAM.

Just received a text from 72166 saying "MSG from Chase: Your amazon Prime card ending in 1234 is set for a review. Call 800-352-2159 M-F 8A-8P to discuss"

I called that number to see what it was, it immediately asked for the full 16 digit card number. I hung up and called Chase's main customer service line instead. The rep confirmed it is a legitimate number for a team there. He offered to transfer me to the team instead of having me call that number. Seems unlikely to be a scam, despite what others are saying above. But don't take my word for it, call Chase's main line and ask them directly and have them transfer.

I received a strange email stating that my account was under review and I needed to call this number 1-800-352-2159 to discuss my account. I called the number on the back of my card and spoke to a rep who stated that this is not a number affiliated with Chase and that it is a phishing scam.

I received a text to call 800.352.219 from the Fraud Department. I called the number on the back of my card and they said they said they would never put a number to call in a text message. They would tell you to call the number on the back of the card. The text message was a fraud.

1-800-352-2159 This is a legit number, I got an email and a text message. I called the number on the back of my card and she told me that there is note on my account that they sent a message and email so she transferred me over to them.  If you get the message they will be lowering you CL, saw on another post in another group regardless if you call them or not you CL will either be lowered or closed.

I am not sure how this is legit because I just got a call from them today and I am not a chase customer so it sounds like a scam to me

Clearly several people in the is thread are lying. Just as many people saying it's not Chase as people saying it is legit(scammers posting to keep the scam running?)

Received Text saying this Chase 800-352-2159. It sounded legit but I don't think it was. The rep tried to sound professional but I don't believe it was legit

Called this number for my Elderly Aunt who received the same type Text as others have spoken about above, going back to 2014.  Yes they asked for her CC# - I wasn't giving any information so I hit 0#  -  Connected with a Chase Bank Card Customer Service Rep who was very helpful.  This is a legit reach out but not sure what department uses this.  Possible strategy to talk to clients with good credit to increase card limits when renewal dates are near.  Not something I would ever respond to!   They connected me to the Fraud department and confirmed it is a Chase number!
