I got a call from this number. They indicated that there had been an attempt at a security breach at my account. They did NOT ask for security information, so I have a tendency to believe that this call was legitimate.

It is RBC Security Department calling because they flagged a suspicious transaction and as they state call the number on the back of the card which is the number they leave for you to call anyways 1-800-762-3652 and they give you a case number.
If you don't call back that's on you... It's your account being compromised.

Why did you mark the call as "scam suspicion" if you believe the call is valid? And why did you look up the number anyway since you already know who called you?
