This is an RBC Visa phone #. Received a v-mail today asking to call them back at this # or the # on the back of my Visa card. I called them back at the # on my Visa card and they wanted to confirm some transactions with me. Apparently someone used my card for $300-$400 purchases in US. Just before that, I had used my card for a purchase in Canada.
They now canceled my card due to safety concerns and will send me a new card in a week or so.

I got this call from RBC, I didn't trust them so I hung up. Then called the number on the back of my card, they said it really was from RBC. Then cancelled my card, they will be sending a new one.

This is a legitimate number and a call from RBC. I called them back and there were some fraudulent charges on my card which the bank quickly reversed.

This is a LEGITIMATE phone call from RBC making sure that transactions that you are LEGITIMATELY making are actually coming from you. This is excellent security protection from RBC

this number is legit- they called me just as I was trying to use visa at dentist and it got declined.  They were worried about a charge from Mexico (my honeymoon).  They are with RBC and it is a real security number.

Received a call on my cell phone today (June 29, 2015) from this number. Call display indicated that it was from RBC. The caller asked for specific individual and I responded that the caller got the wrong number. The caller apologized. I haven't heard back.

No - it's actually a fraud.  This is not a bank calling, but a rather a scam.

This is RBC Visa Fraud.   Someone just attempted to charge $2,800 from Microsoft on my card.
If you're not confident calling the number they provide, call the number on the back of your card.

Well what do you know? I was pretty sure that it was a scam because the numbers (given and displayed) didn't show up in my bank website or in the back of my credit card... Yet, just in case I called the NUMBER IN THE BACK OF THE CARD (not the number they gave me) and they confirmed they wanted to get in touch w/ me to confirm a transaction I had made a few days ago (which looked shady, but wasn't). So Yes... Call the NUMBER IN THE BACK OF YOUR CARD, all they want to do is double check if some transaction(s) is/are legit...
