Utility payment scam

Scam!!!

They called twice today to say that they were going to disconnect my electric in 30 minutes due to non-payment.  I called the 800 number they left and told the girl that I was an attorney and that I wanted to know her name and the address where she was right then.  She hung up on me.

SCAM!!! It was a recording saying that they would disconnect service due to nonpayment..I knew it was a scam because ComEd always sends letters stating that they will never call threatening to disconnect service. So I seen a comment on here stating that they called the number back saying they were lawyers so I did the same!!! Haha! I called back several times and with ANY option I would select would take me to "the disconnection department " 😂😂😂 idiots!!! So I finally tell the girl, "Hi I am calling from The Law Offices of (name I made up on the spot) and I want to know your name and where I am calling...?" And she hung up on me as well!!! 😡 it angers me that these people make a living off of other's hard earned money!!!

It's hard to believe the phone companies and the FTC are powerless to stop this crap! Maybe we need better men and women in congress.

These people call me EVERY  day. I try and keep them on the phone as long as I have time. Someone has to pay for call and it's not me.

I received an automated recording that my electricity was going to be shut off. But I JUST got the account opened, so I knew I have no outstanding debt with Com Ed. Thankfully, I thought it through before I even thought about calling the 800 number.

Utility Scam.  The automated message said it was from APS and I would be disconnected.

They claimed they were calling from PSE&G and were turning our electricity off in 30 minutes unless we called and paid. We're a pizza shop in Pennsylvania; PSE&G is the utility company in New Jersey. At least put SOME kinda effort into your scam.

Received automated call that service will b shut off in 30 min for non payment.  Called the # and recording said Peco and transferred to human stating this is Denise with Peco Disconnection Department how can I help you? I laughed she hung up

I managed to get one of these scammers so mad he cursed me out.  It was great

SCAM ALERT - SCAM ALERT - SCAM ALERT - SCAM ALERT, Called us with a recording to say we owed money fand our gas/electric service would be disconnected in 30 minutes.  Called them back  & when we questioned the girl at length, she claimed it was a wrong number and hung up!!?
