They left a voice mail stating that they wanted Wendolyne Hardin to contact them regarding her hospital bill. I called back informing them that this was not Ms. Hardin's phone number and that she does not have access to it nor has she been given permission to use the number as an alternate contact number. Also I asked them to remove my number from their data base asap.

I got two phone calls in the span of 20 minutes from this number. I didn’t answer either of them since I didn’t recognize the number in the slightest. I decided to do a little digging around and on this site I found out that this is most likely a Medicare scam of some kind. No idea how they got my information, however I recently was in the hospital. No clue what this is about but it’s annoying, and I don’t want calls like this made to my cell phone

I got a same call claiming to be something about eligibility for Medical on a recent hospital visit. Just another way to sell your info if they dont know your info dont tell them anything

They called and I ignored because the caller ID came in as “Potential Spam”. In the voicemail he said he was calling from the hospital we did recently go to, said my name and my child’s name but stuttered and mispronunced the hospital name which was the second hint to google this number.

Added to this list, I just recently had an ER trip at Los Alamitos Hospital aprox 2 weeks ago, now I also am receiving calls from this number, I don't pick up, that's what voice mail is for, 3 calls so far. Blocking

Hispanic accents aren't common? Lol maybe not in your circles but the US including alabama has a high hispanic population. Bad reasoning.

You owe the hospital money! That's how, your insurance didn't pay it all! people really need it spelled out...

Repeated calls all day

I received a voice mail from this company, it was very hard to understand, but they said they were from the business office at hospital that I had recently visited. They didn’t give any other information except a phone number to call them back.
When I called them they asked for my insurance information, which I was hesitant to give because I had already gotten several bills for my recent hospital visit and they always came in the mail, and if for some reason a bill got sent to me because they didn’t have any of my insurance information, I would always have to call them back & give them my insurance information, not the other way around.

I asked what this company was called and they said “Medical Eligibility Counselling Services”, which sounded strange. They said I could look them up by this title on google. I looked them up and there was nothing there!! No legitimate company under this title, no website, no information. So I looked up the phone number which they called me from and I found many people complaining that this was a scam. I would be very hesitant to give any information away to these people.

Except that most of that 14 year old post is BS.  You cannot block your phone number when calling a toll free number since the information is transmitted differently from CNUM/CNAM.  I doubt that he is a "State Investigator" as well as it is common for people to post garbage claiming that they are in some elevated position so that people will think that they know more than they really do.
