A guy called, who sounded like a teenager, and asked to speak with my husband. I asked what it was about and he, very rudely, told me to mind my own business and 'put him on the phone, goddamnit'. I told him that he can go and whistle and ended the call. He called back so I grabbed a whistle that was near me and blew it down the phone. He has not called back since.

Absolutely outrageous that his amount of rude-ness is acceptable by these [***].

Got a call from the number, when picked up, I don't hear anything for 10 - 15 seconds. I hung up then call back that number, I got the auto message service from York Regional Police Association. After listen to the whole message, pressed 9 to unsubscribe to their call list.

Haha.. I got a phone call from this guy too. He pretended to be a yprk regional police association too. He is very rude :P He also mentioned something about "wonderland". This guy is retared and a scammer!!

Got the same call from this guy. It obviously isn't from the York Regional Police Association - was asking for money for a Wonderland event for their kids/retirees.

This is word to word. Got a phone call saying this is the York Police
Association. He gave my family name and address, and said,"We are collecting money to send our region's needy children to Wonderland."
I said ok. He said,"We have to send you an enveloppe, how much do you think you can donate $20, $40, $60? I said, "I have to discuss it with my
husband." He continued, "You have to give me an amount $20, $40 etc."
I got suspicious. This is definitely a scam. I shall wait for this envelope, or better I shall keep an eye on my credit cards.

York Regional Police Association is an association of "licensed crooks" and they are engaged in a lot of unethical activities. They harass ordinary folks and doing everything to protect themselves -- NOT you! They are more annoying than [***] in the street. They are running scams all the time. So, next time they call and ask for money, get the person's name and phone number. And then call your lawyer to take legal actions against them. Don't let these crooks to get away easily! They belong to nowhere but jail!

On behalf of YRPA, I apologize for any wrong doings of our members. The reasons to call is to collect money to bail out our members (cops) who are in jail right now and there are currently thousands of them. We (Cops)are a bunch of rude, stupid, and uneducated people. Please forgive us. I know we are even worse than beggers but what else can we do except begging?

Got a call today form this number too and the guy told me the same thing..from York Police Association collecting for any donation to help kids get involved in the York community. Asked for $$, I said not at this moment, and insisted that any amount would help out, starting from $20. I said no, and he left me alone. What a nerve!
