I didn't answer, I want to know who it was.

I just started getting calls from this #.  They call twice a day and don't leave a message.

It's AARP.  For some reason they think I'm a 60something woman who hasn't refilled her prescriptions.

They just called.  They must be on a fund drive.  

I said I wasn't home and the telemarketer, with obvious "telemarketer sweatshop" noise in the background, said he'd call back and that the message was "a courtesy call from the police".  What an asshat.  That can't be legal to say that.  

You can call them at 800-378-0957 and automatically (without talking to someone) be placed on their do not call list.  There are a few reasonable requirements - no caller ID block, and calling from the phone that they called you on.  

Now, whether that actually works or not is still to be determined...
