This number called as a reference for someone I know that was looking for a job. Answer the phone. People need jobs.

This is indeed a 3rd party company that checks for references.  If they call, please answer.

They ought to tell people who they are to begin with!! Not just say  i am  looking for verivacation on someone!  They dont tell you what company there from..So i dont answer!!!!!

This is an agency performing reference verification for those seeking employment thru certain companies. A friend notified me just days ago that she had used me as a reference and i received the call today. They are legit and will tell you who they are if you ask.

I also say to answer the phone. This is a reputable company and are courteous and will tell you who they are if you ask. I knew it was coming so I answered.

So, let me get this straight.  You knew they were going to call. You knew who they were and what the call was about.  Yet you looked up the number anyway?  Now what possible motive would you have to look up this number when you already had all that information and knowledge?
