Received a call from eSurance claims.  I was involved in an accident and this was the other party's insurance contacting me to get my side of the story.  It was a legit call, no scam or marketing involved.

I just got a call from esurance. and it was a loud breather

First of all, this number called me at 8:50pm on a week day, which is incredibly rude. Second of all, they were calling for someone who is not at this number. When I informed the customer service rep of this, and asked her to place me on their do not call list, she replied, "Yeah well he asked ua to call him, so have him call us back." Then hung up on me! I had to google the number to see who this was since she never offered a business name in her greeting. I have never used esurance nor inquired about them. I definitely never will in the future after this experience! Completely unprofessional and definitely harassment.

I was irritated that my car insurance went up after buying a home and moving, so I started looking around on the Internet for a better deal.    Esurance was maybe $10 cheaper for a six month policy, not nearly enough to justify the hassle of cancelling and switching.

So they called me anyway.   I didn't answer, an utterly unintelligible voicemail was left.   The caller was obviously on speakerphone, I could hear a rep in the background yelling at a customer who was screaming back at them (they were obviously on speakerphone a well).    There is NO WAY IN HELL I am ever going to give this company a dime of my money.

When your mortgage hit the credit bureau your Fico score probably dropped so they increased your insurance rate.  Then by asking for information you gave them permission to legally call you.

Legit for me too, I just got a new spaceship and they insured it for just a few thousand Gift Cards. They said they will call back and let me know if I have to go buy more Gift Cards to get an Inspection.

Don't be fooled by anyone saying "its legit", because if it really was, why would they be looking up the number?

Never trust a caller to be who they claim, always call from an official number to verify if they did call.

I am an esurance customer. But I think some scammers are spoofing the number. My agent calls from a number in south Dakota, this call said unknown. Probably a progressive agent, HA HA.

Was filling out a quote online and the website told me to call this number to finish the quote so I did. The guy was very pushy and persistent. I tried multiple times to get off the phone, nicely. He said he would direct me to another person to help me with something and it was the SAME GUY. That’s when I knew something was definitely off about this.
