- J9| 1 replyI didn't either, and they didn't leave a message.
- MindyI got the call twice and they say it's IBMOI or something like that. They keep saying they won't tell who the company is unless they talk to the person whose name they said. I won't tell them if it's me or not. They get very angry when you tell them that lol. It's quite funny! I hung up on her today xD
- Mindy| 6 repliesMBROI is the company. Apparently it's a medical collection agency type thing. Just don't answer. They're very cranky people lol
- Caller: MBROI
- Call type: Debt collector
- Angie replies to MindyI just got the call today. She left her name, number, and extension. Said she was attempting to collect a debt. If it's medical related, they are going to have to wait till Social Services kicks in to get their money.
- Rob replies to Mindy| 4 repliesIf you owed me money, and I couldn't reach you or get a straight answer from you, I'd be cranky too.
It is a legitimate medical debt collector. Due to HIPPA laws they have to speak only with the person who's name the debt is in. I guess if you enjoy screwing people, you can mess with them -- but pretty much the reason they're calling you is that you skipped out on a bill. If you care about your credit, you probably should return their calls. - HarryContacted MBROI via the number provided and the lady was very nasty. She wanted my DOB and home address with out telling me what MBROI wanted. When I asked what this was about with out providing my DOB she hung up on me. The number I was called on is a Dept of Defense Govt line and this call will be reported through channels.

- Jambo| 1 replyWanted my DOB and address and didn't give either. Tanicia Howard was the woman that called me. I asked for the street address of her company and she said there wasn't one. I asked her if a stranger called her and asked her for her address and DOB would she give it? Told her not to ever call again or I would take action and she said she wouldn't. Who are these people. How stupid do they think people are?

- ADDulin| 2 repliesRefuse to identfy the name of the company however wanted personal information about me. The first caller hang up on me after I question who was calling. I called them back to try and find out nothing. Their answering service identifed them as "business office". When I finally got a second man on the line he was more rude than the first. When I asked him for his name he gave me my name and laught and claimed he and the other person both had the same first and last name as I. When looking at he caller ID I recieved the phone# only the company's name is unavailable. I had gave them my name and they should disclose at less the company's name. They claim the the federal law require them not to disclose the company until they can identify how I am. I identify myself however it is stupid to think people wii give out personal information to strangers. I will be contacting the Attorney Genneral Office and suggest that everyone else do so as well.

- Mbroi who replies to RobMaybe the bill is in dispute so do not assume and treat people like dirt. Are you a schill for mbroi?
- Mike replies to ADDulin| 1 replyWow. I had a call from initially a friendly voice name Anthony. He asked to speak to (gave my name) and I confirmed my identity. To prove that I was who he called for, he asked for my DOB and address. When I refused to give it because MBROI isn't a name just letters "The Business" use he became angry because of HYPPA laws. The call was shortly ended when he wanted me to talk to his supervisor. That didn't happen. I waited a few then called 1-866-312-6232 number back. I was lucky and spoke to Anthony the guy who called me first. I asked for his last name, DOB and social security number. Why did I do that? Forget all that this call maybe recorded mumbo jumbo. He became very angry and voice raising etc. I asked him to calm down and hopefully he now understands what he is doing when he call other people homes. Not too sure how far my point went but...
- Elspeth replies to MikeAny company who refuses to identify themselves and give a mailing and physical address is definitely not legitimate. Why would they refuse to identify themselves, unless they're scammers or very shady debt collectors. HIPAA laws are to protect the identity and personal, medical information of consumers - they are NOT an excuse for companies to refuse to name themselves!

- DebraJust received a phone call from this number. This is the first time these people have called me. I made the mistake of telling him I was who he asked for. He only told me his name is Mark and said he is from MBROI. I had no clue what that stood for. He told me the call was being monitored and proceeded to ask me my date of birth and home address. If they knew who I was wouldn't they have that information already? I told him I could not talk to him at the moment since he was calling me at my workplace and we are not allowed personal calls unless it is a family emergency. I told him I would have to call back but, I can't since I work till 5 and he said he is in the office until 4. Not sure I'm going to call him back!
- Caller: MBROI
- [***] this [***] replies to J9All you do is tell them that you got that phone number a month ago and tell them you dont know who they are trying to contact.
- Jizanthapus replies to Rob| 1 replyWell they chose that "legitimate" job so they know people think they are the scum of the earth. You don't know why people owe money and further more if I'm going to pay a debt, I'm going to pay it to the people I owe it to. Not some stranger calling me at work refusing to tell me who they are until I give them my home address. I told him to give me his address and he wouldn't because I'm a stranger. So he can legitimately kiss my ass.
- Gunnar replies to JizanthapusYou're responding to a 5 year old post. Run along.
Gunnar - ChelseaThey screw up when they try to collect a debt. I set up a payment plan with them, but they keep messing up. I gave them specific dates and they kept trying to collect early. Then the guy said he would talk to his supervisor and call me back. He called me back 15 days later. I answered and hung up. I'm not going to play cat and mouse with these people.

- JFJust got a call from these guys. They identified themselves as "Receivables Outsourcing" and said that the call was in regards to an account I had with them, and that I needed to provide a DOB because of HIPAA. I asked who they were representing, and if it was regarding a debt, and they refused to provide that information without a DOB. I told them I wouldn't provide them any information unless they would state who they were calling on behalf of.
I then called the only possible medical provider that may have sent a debt to collections, and their billing department stated that it was most likely a skeezy call. If I have a pending balance on something okay fine, but refusing to offer any information under the guise of HIPAA security, even the name of the company you're representing when attempting to collect debt is shady as hell.- Caller: Receivables Outsorcing
