Obvious scam.  Robot voice:

"This call is from the Department of Social Security Administration.The reason you have received this phone call from our department is to inform you that we just suspended your social security number because we found some suspicious activity. So if you want to know about this case just press one. Thank you"

I just got the same call regarding the suspension of my Social Security benefits!  This is the second time I got this call, claiming to be the SSA. As I am on Disability due to MS, I was a bit thrown by this, though intellectually I know that the SSA does not make Robocalls. But I pressed 1 to talk to a “legal advisor” (not), and proceeded to ask what kind of scam this was, as the SSA doesn’t make Robocalls. The person on the other end was silent, but I could hear what sounded like hundreds of voices in the background all talking on the phone. The person remained silent so I told them I was reporting them to the AG’s office, and then I hung up (usually they hang up when challenged). This morning I just got another of the same calls and just hung up. What kind of people do this kind of thing?! Obviously they were born without a conscience.

It was a Robocall claiming to be the Social Security Administration. Curious, I pressed 1 to be connected to a “legal expert” who could help me. I asked what kind of scam this was, as the SSA does not make Robocalls. The person remained silent (but didn’t hang up), and I could hear many voices in the background all talking on the phone.
I told the silent caller that I was going to report them to the AG, and then hung up.
This morning I got another call, same recording. I just hung up.
