They've been calling for a month almost every day. My husband called the number from his work and the recording said it's "Gemma Communications".  The recording gave an option to remove the number called from their list. We did it. Today no calls so far!

Always call when I'm not here.  I wish I was here so I could pick up and tell them to remove me from their list.

They call every day at various hours. If I pick it up, there are some seconds of "sillence" on the other end then they hang up. If my voice mail enters, there is no message content.
My belief is that this is a company that is hired to detect people's habits, what hours they are at home, what hours they are not. This way, they make some statistics then a report and probably sell this report to other parties involved in advertisment. So, the latter ones would know when they have to call you in the attempt to talk to you directly. I am highly disgusted that there is no regulation against such individuals/companies since this is far more agressive form of harrassement than any other similar commercial way.

I called it just now, after reading "susan's" comment and removed myself from their list!

Any time there's a few seconds of silence when you answer a 1-800 number its this...

Its an outbound call center for either collections or telelmarketing. Their computers auto-dial up to 10 numbers and the first one that answers gets transfered to one of their operators.  It takes a few seconds to spit your information to that operator's computer.  If you pick up the phone and hear silence, just hang up.

It's likely calling on behalf of a company you already deal with. Up-sells and that sort of thing.

they called me today and i had the number removed like you guys did.  It cost me one *69 charge 1.00?  whatever - I also find these people shd be regulated out of business.

Phone rang, I answered, there was silence for 10 seconds and then they ended the call. I called back and had my number removed.

I called the company (got their number from http://www.gemmacom.com/indexenglish.html) and requested they take me off their list. The rep said it'll be done sometime today (asked for my name and phone number) and to call back tomorrow if I'd like to get direct confirmation form the technician that does he manual list updates.

I was Called and no answer.... they just hung-up

THANK YOU! usually when I call these numbers there is no answer, so I haven't bothered until now.    I've been getting 2-3 calls a day from these jerks!

They call every day, around noon. Can we stop that...

I've been getting their calls for weeks, many times a day! Hang-up messages on my voicemail, most of the time. I really hate that type of company.

Hey Thanks for the advice, Some how they got my cell number, and when I called the automated system gave me a totally different number. But nothing that you can't correct on your own.  Thanks for the tip, I'll just have to wait and see if the keep calling.  They seemed to like to call and wake me up.  Good Riddance to them.. and thanks once again for the advice.

If you call, they will stop, it's been 3 days without a call when they used to call me twice a day.

Got another call from them today. Called them back. However the first number they asked to see if I wanted canceled was not my number. So I gave them my number and will hope for the best.

When a 1-800 number is on my display, I never  answer.  I did call back today though after reading here, and had our number removed from the list.  I am grateful that they at least have that option.  I HATE TELEMARKETERS WITH PASSION.

this number called me today and i ansnwer it, i don't know why they looking at me, What they want?. im not use to accept call if i don't know who they are, especially 1-800, so please remove it from my list, thanks and ill do appreciate it.
