There is no way calling this company back and then it is that easy to get your number removed.  Thoses of you that have done this does it work?  Does it stay off for good or does it come back after a few weeks.
    I hate these people.

    This is a Rogers number.
You can call back to the 1.800 number to be added to their do not call list.
    Press 1 to be removed
press 11 to continue after their little preamble message
press 1 if the number they have is correct (automated voice) and to be added to the DNC list.
    Hang up
Pain in the butt to have to do it, but worth not having 5 hang-up calls per day

This is the same number that called me yesterday. It was Rogers. They were trying to sell me more services. I told them quite clearly that I am not interested and not to call back. Today when I picked up the phone I was asked to "please hold" and then put on hold. GET REAL! Of course I hung up. This # is now on my sh*tlist and I'll be lodging a complaint with Rogers. To me this is an abusive use of a service provided to me. They are using my phone # against me. Schmucks.

Ted Rogers, the devil of communications, gives/sells clients info to these cheaper than cheap tele marketing Co.'s   These businessess are fly by night and often automated. Try to get away from anything associated with the evil Ted Rodgers. Vancouver Sun uses the same techniques, often selling to similar tele - marketing crack shacks, worked by desperate, minimum wage earners, with access to your personal info.
Always provide false info to confuse and weaken the beast. These mega devils have no scruples and will use and abuse you. Keep your money & info away from them.

I must apologise for the previous Tele Buster Rant. It is not the view of this house & this neighbourhood - and entirely the opinions of my friend's workmate, whom i allowed to use my P.C. for video game purposes only.  I believe these companies provide  important services to society.
    Thank You

I asked to be put on their "do not call" list and caller persisted that they NEED to call to tell me about the "deal" they have to offer.  I asked repeatedly 8 times to be put on "do not call" list but caller ignored me and persisted to give his "speil".  His name was apparently "Joe Matthews".

That is not how you solve the problem at all.
They are getting your number from an autodialer which randomly picks any 7 numbers (plus area code) and dials it.

I am working for a University and this company calls us everyday and hangs up on us.

It's really the luck (or bad luck in this case) of the draw whether or not you will receive such phone calls.

    Hi All,

I have read all the concerns about gemma communations, I regert to inform your all I worked for htis company for 1.5 yrs and well aware of the processes involved in calling all of you.  Here's the best way to have they stop.  first try to stay on the line till and Rep. responds then tell them to take you all their lists at gemma.  Secondly call the company they are calling for and request to be taken off marketing lists as they use other company as weel in the same city to call you. Last go to the website call Canadian Marketing Assoc. and fill out all the forms to be taken off list you did not even know your on.  So I sorry to cause you so much grief and remember look on any form you sign for the hidden information allowing companies to share your information..... your ex-telemarketer....

no one on the other end. I just hang up. They call my work number, so I called it right back. They are an approved vendor for Rogers Wireless services. You have the option of removing your number by pressing 1 or calling 1-888-ROGERS1. Cheap way of marketing. just a waste of my breath.

Tried calling the number today. Voice message said they were for Rogers communications - and that you could push 1 or 2 to get removed from call lists. The thing is, when the call came in, there was no voice on the line. Only found it was Rogers by calling the number
