I get calls from someone asking ME to provide THEM with cable TV, which is a service you get when you pay money to the service provider. Where's my check, Steve?

That Makes sense that it is Direct TV, I just cancelled all of my Movie Channels.

I was told by DirectTV customer service--that this is an outside vendor of DirectTv---and they have no control over it... 800-401-1525 people  called me 2 days ago for $9.99 deal and said the showtime channels will be activated in 24 hours ...It has been 3 days and the channels have not been activated

I have just found this site so I have not been collecting info on all the calls I've gotten. I am lucky enough to have a phone system that allows me to block up to 30 numbers. I am maxed out! I was getting at least one call a day and often 2 or 3. Since blocking these 30 numbers the calls have dropped to almost nothing. It appears that either it is the same jerks or the word gets around that the calls are being blocked. I will pay more attention to the calls from this point forward.

My phone also blocks 30 calls . Periodically, I go in and delete some of the oldest calls, then add new ones to the list. The same mfr of my phone now has one that blocks 250 calls, and also allows one to prevent that first annoying ring. Received a call today, no message, if it is Direct TV, that wouldn't be surprising as I recently dropped HBO, etc.

Direct tv is awesome I haven't had problems except this number called saying it was direct tv offered me free movie for 6months it still wasn't on this morning so I called the number I usually called and Barbara was so helpful she said she didn't see any kind of deal like that and she gave me 10.00 off next bill love direct tv just not the scam number and Comcast is worth bad customer service and their bills are not what they say a 99.00 bill turns out to be 519.00 a money back guaranteed is not lots of hassle with xfinity, Comcast, Warner time I have had no problems w direct tv except this number that called me love direct tv will never go back to comcast

recvd a call from this number offering me Starz  & Starz on demand for 8.99/mon for 6 mons. Told me it would take 3-4 hours to activate. That was 24 hours ago. Called this number back twice. Got the usual voice mail blah blah blah! Left a message but nothing heard from them yet!! So annoying. I'm seriously thinking of dropping Directv all together. I've only been s subscriber for 4 months & I cannot even tell you how many times I've had to call b/c the charges & credits offered were not right. I'm done - going back to Dish ! This is the straw that broke the camels back !! How do y oh like me now??

I get calls, sometimes 3 - 4 per day.  After seeing all of the posts on this site, I have not been answering the calls.  We do have direct TV.  This caller does not leave a message and it is very annoying to be called over and over again!

DirecTV trying to sell tv and sports channels

Similar info to other posts...Caller identifies as Direct TV....offers $6.99 Starz package for 6 months.  They have background info like my recent cancellation of a promo movie package and of course my phone number...I called Direct TV because They said the new package would be activated in a couple of hours and 8 hours later it still wasn't.  Direct TV said they had no record of the new package upgrade and the promo was not even one of their current offers.  A little scary that an outside party has access to my Direct TV information!  They don't ask for a cc number so figuring out their motive is baffling!

Very well might be DIRECTV, as I just downgraded my service last week. What we don't need are more clowns hassling people with fake offers and other misleading malarkey. As usual, the caller did not use Caller ID, other than a junk statement "TOLL FREE CALL."

Yeah, I just got a call from this number.  It rang once.  We are on the National Do Not Call List and as it is an 800 number I assume the call was not put through for that reason.  I've been on the phone with Direct TV the last two evenings cancelling services that are part of our package but were 'added' for an additional charge.  Today, I received an e-mail stating the card that was attempted to be used for auto pay did not go through.  We do not have auto pay.  When I called they said the e-mail was an effort to encourage customers to enroll in auto pay.  Told the girl this was a stupid idea, I was an adult, if I wanted auto pay I know how to get it.  We're stuck in this contract for another year, after that we're switching to another provider.  I encourage everyone not to use Direct TV.  They are notorious for unscrupulous practices with their customers and the programming is lame.

received call from this number today, I down graded my DirecTV package from premium to entertainment package if it is true from other posts on here will be blocking this number, this seems to be somebody representing DirecTV when they aren't affiliates for them, this is a scammer.

Every two hours this number appears.
about  7 days ago i got rid of the (free movie channels given to me for three months from direct tv)
Enough of this.. please stop.
