Yahoo Mail does not have phone support, which, if you had gone to their site you would have learned.  Now that they have accessed the computer, you have real problems and you should be reading my post on page 1, which you probably did already if you got to that person's post and following those directions.  Or you can take your chances and hope they did not get all of that.

Do not trust these people. They are not from Yahoo! They are hackers! Very suspicious people who want to take your money! They got into my parents computer and said there are viruses on it. My parents paid $249 for the service which was all a scam. They then told my Mom she needs to pay more money. She didn’t buy it.

They are hackers! They tricked me once and they called again telling me that my emails are hacked and they can repaired but I have to pay more. They threatened me that they can block my emails. They are from India or Pakistan but introduce themselves with American names.
Finally I went to local computer repair place, they reset my computer to factory version and installed very good anti virus program.
Still they calling me from many different numbers. I blocked my home number and cell number.
Remember yahoo and Gmail don’t have support phone line available so just go on help and contact them this way. Never trust them.

Hackers would simply get into your computer without calling you and telling you to install a program that lets them in.  However, you seem to have missed most of the damage they have done such as gathering every piece of information on that computer including banking info, user names, passwords, contacts, etc.

Peter (i'm guessing the same one that has left some of the positive comments i've seen) called stating he was from gmail and that my account had been hacked and was, as we spoke, being attacked...over 24,000 times someone had tried, showing me "evidence" once i hesitantly trusted and allowed him to take control.  This was supposedly beyond his ability to repair so he transferred me to Lisa who tried to show me more nonsense.  Then the word "purchase" came into play...i figure, they got my ip address and they are showing me the ip of my supposed hackers..they should be able to go after the hackers from that info and keep my account safer that way.  But she kept insisting i needed to "purchase".   After my conversation with her i was transferred back to Peter who followed up with more "purchase" talk after she failed.

This is the price list she sent me:

A couple years ago my lap top was locked up and would only display a message that there was spyware detected and a phone number to call.  I ended up calling and falling for the $299 scam.  Yes, somehow they had locked my laptop down!  Although they insisted that they were a security system that caught the problem.  I immediately called microsoft afterwards and had to pay again to remove their crap, but I still get calls from the same people all the time.  They don't give up, even when you cuss and tell them they are crooks.  They constantly insist they are legit.  Now they call saying my AOL email account has been hacked.  He gave me this # to call and verify that they are legitimate and work for Microsoft.  1-800-401-8452  Joseph "MS559.

The did not "lock" your computer down. All you needed to do was to restart, prevent tabs from reopening, clear cache, cookies and history. The start using an ad blocker.
