- Andrea replies to PeggySame here!! When I had a couple days off, and came back to work, my manager told me that someone called TWICE in one hour to discuss a loan with me. Do they honestly think I have time to talk to a collection agency while I'm work?? My manager was getting pretty pissed, because it happened a few times, and even blew up at the person for calling their employee at work.
- kb replies to coco| 1 replyI contacted the attorney general in Massachusetts, They did buisness in mass and it is illegal because of the interest rate. If it is illegal in your state they really have no leg to stand on and they cant harrasse you if your state laws are strong on debt collection and phone calls and how they are handled. They say they are on trible land and cant be sued but they do have to go by the laws they do buisness in. Just egnore the calls or keep reporting them to your attonrney general because if there are enough complaints the state will go after them. Massachusetts knows all about ameriloan and there ways and are looking at them closely. Hope this helped

- LindaI get calls from this number 800-404-9026 all of the time. They leave at least one message per day - with nothing recorded. They are now just simply harassing me. I don't know who they are or what they want. I can't save all of their messages for proof as I wouldn't have room for any regular messages. They used to call me at my job but I was laid off last week so they can't touch me there anymore. How they get your info I can't say. Maybe they will just give it up one day. I have no reason to be talking to them.

- MichelleI keep getting phone calls early and late and just got one at 8:39 A.M. on New Year's Eve for a Mr...**** Baker and have never heard of this person. This is my work cell phone number I keep getting the calls on and it is for my patient's to call me on. So when my work cell phone rings on New Year's Eve I think it could be one of my patients in crisis. So I run to the phone and it is 800-404-9026. I called the number back and a woman answered the phone just by saying "Hello." What business answers the phone by saying Hello? She asked if I knew the person I mentioned above even after I said this number is for my patients. She said she would remove my number though a previous representative said the same thing a month or so ago. When I asked for the name of the business she refused to give it to me and just said she had it handled and to have a good new year.

- Bob replies to cocoIn my state the statute of limitations is 4 years, unless you move to another state during that time. I live in Louisiana, and they are very limited in what they can legally collect because they are not licensed--several clues will tell you if they are licensed or not. If they are not licensed in my state, they can only collect the principle, and like 50.00 dollars. That is why they don't sue--it will cost them more to sue than to write off the bill. Anyway, good luck.
- KAGot a call and vm to call this number. Knew I did not have any loans with AmeriLoan. Called number back. The woman asked me what cell/work number did we call. I gave her my number told her I had no idea what this was about. She said that someone put this number down as a contact number. I asked who and she told me the name. It was a co-worker of mine. Unreal!! I asked her to remove the number. She said she would put in a request but that they would have to verify/check it out. I told her to make sure the number was removed and don't call again. She asked me how long I have had the number. I told her over 10 years, she said well she was using that number long before 10 years.
- MSThey keep calling my job as well. I am reporting them to the attorney general as well as they have been informed not to call.

- CelesteGot a call today from a woman named Chelsia from AML. She said my husband had submitted an application and that this was the contact number for him. I told her I was his wife and was there something I could help her with. She said no but if I could give her another number so she could reach him she wouldn't have to bother me any more. I took down her name and called the company right back. Another woman answered the phone and when I asked her what kind of company they were she would not tell me at firt, all she would say was AML. I gave her my phone number, telling her that this number just called my house. She said they were looking for my husband because of his application. I asked again if I could help in any way. She said the state of NJ prohibits her from telling me anything and I must have my husband call back today. I told her that the company sounded shady and they would not hear from him and to not call any more. She was offended and said they would continue to call until they reached him! I am going to report this company!

- Anonymousaml – Just called the 800 number after a client complained. Linda answered – (sounds like many people in a call center) Told her I was calling from attorney’s office and wanted an address to contact them. She put me on hold and then came back on and said they don’t talk to attorneys offices and wanted my information so her supervisor could call me back. I hung up. DON'T GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION ESPECIALLY YOUR BANK OR CREDIT ACCOUNT NUMBERS! (If you try aml.com it sends you to Quest Diagnostics website...)

When they hear it's not "Audrey's" number, they ask for your name so that they can no attach a name to the number. Clearly scam artists who are phishing for information.
