You think that an actual government website is scamming people?  Purposely posting completely false and misleading information is against the TOS of this site and is morally and ethically wrong.

This is a private business soliciting information about loans for Borrowers Defense. You don't need anyone to file a Borrowers Defense claim, you do it right on the studentaid.gov website.  I'd be very cautious about giving them any info.

I received a text message, stating the following: “Due to the recent lawsuit against Argosy University, you can now apply for a borrower defense program and get your debt fully discharged. Call (800) 419-4409 for info.”  I called the number and talked with a guy who told me that my Argosy University loan is eligible for automatic cancellation and that his company could expeditiously file the Borrower Defense application for $1500.00.  He asked if I could pay now over the phone.  I did not agree to pay, and asked for his contact information, a link to his company website, all of which he provided.  (Website: https://academyfinancialsolutions.com/)  The company is not listed with the BBB.  He, also, provided a link to the government website for the guidelines to file the Borrowers Defense application.  Overall, it seems like a scam.  But even if it isn’t, why pay $1500.00 for their services when the government website offers the application and guidance for correct completion and submission free of charge?

Academy F'l Solutions called today. Caller ID read "Telemarketing." They initially answer phone as alias fake "Student Loan Support." There's no physical address on the website.
