This is such an obvious scam and identity theft operation. You have to be nuts to give these vermin any credit card or identity information about yourself. Why are these crooks not in prison yet?
Their unsolicited faxes alone should require some prison time for them, and their scamming should lengthen that prison time. If law enforcement is reading this, PLEASE put a stop to this illegal operation.
Thank you!

Does anyone know how to stop this?- Call type: Fax
- snowweaselfax with fake usa today money section dated Tuesday, August 7, 2007 with the headline "Cancun ranks #1 in vacation destinations" by Justin Kiely and Kathy Bogart. Hand written on the fax was "I know you're going on a trip this year, thought you'd be interested" and "call (1-800-419-5431) ask about cancun 6 day all-inclusive for $300/person"
A search of USA Today's site finds no such article.- Caller: 1-800-419-5431

- TimComplaining here will bring no action. If you want these junk faxes to stop, then you need to file a complaint with the FCC. It takes just 5 minutes, and can be done entirely electronically. The FCC does take action to investigate if you have supplied sufficient information for them to pursue it.

The entire business model for the company behind these spam faxes is built upon breaking the law. Asking to be put on their "do not fax" list has no effect -- they don't care. If enough of us file formal complaints, maybe we can get the FCC to take notice and shut them down.- Caller: Cheap Tickets Cancun, spam faxers

- S. E. replies to Matt| 1 replyThis note is posted on USA Today's Contact Us page:
Note to readers: We at USA TODAY are aware of a fax blast of an unsolicited advertisement, designed to look like a story from our Aug. 7 Money section, that has been received in many homes and businesses. The story is a hoax and never was published in USA TODAY. While we cannot comment on the validity of the offer described in the fake article, promoting vacation packages to Cancun, Mexico, and often containing a handwritten note, we do want you to be aware that we have filed reports with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) calling to their attention the fraudulent nature of the fax. To those of you who have called this to our attention, thank you for taking the time to contact us to let us know that our name is being misused in this manner. Should you wish to file a complaint with the government, there are complaint forms available on the FTC website at https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01 and on the FCC website at https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/consumer.do. - rmsdasThe best thing to do is to call as much as possible just keep pushing redial.
