This a junk fax from the Cancun vacation people with a fake USA TODAY article.  They send this thing every week it seems.  Last week the number to call was 800-418-9051.

This is such an obvious scam and identity theft operation. You have to be nuts to give these vermin any credit card or identity information about yourself. Why are these crooks not in prison yet?

Their unsolicited faxes alone should require some prison time for them, and their scamming should lengthen that prison time. If law enforcement is reading this, PLEASE put a stop to this illegal operation.

Got this fax today trying to sell a Cancun vacation - unbelievable!  They write on it like it's coming from a friend - and obviously USA Today wouldn't run an article like that!  Wonder if they know about this?

I got the fax also.  I have a number for Adam Walker that works there.  LOL dumbasses.  Adam Walker 1800-903-1633.  I am trying to get their fax number now.  Also other numbers for them 18007137907, 18004195431, 18009031633,

Get a junk fax every week for the Cancun vacation. I have called them three times and still have not been taken off their list. I suppose something morre needs to be done to stop this scam.

I just got a new fax number and I got this USA TODAY Tuesday August 7, 2007 Cancun Ranks #1 in vacation destinations artical from what I thought was a friend.  So AT&T must be selling them a list of new numbers.

Alright I am having fun with them now.  It costs 4 cents per min for them to be on the phone with me so I will entertain them for the cost of a full reem and a toner cartridge.

I received the fax regarding Cancun vacation destination.  I could not block it because the fax sender did not have a station ID.

Does anyone know how to stop this?

fax with fake usa today money section dated Tuesday, August 7, 2007 with the headline "Cancun ranks #1 in vacation destinations" by Justin Kiely and Kathy Bogart. Hand written on the fax was "I know you're going on a trip this year, thought you'd be interested" and "call (1-800-419-5431) ask about cancun 6 day all-inclusive for $300/person"

A search of USA Today's site finds no such article.

Complaining here will bring no action.  If you want these junk faxes to stop, then you need to file a complaint with the FCC.  It takes just 5 minutes, and can be done entirely electronically.  The FCC does take action to investigate if you have supplied sufficient information for them to pursue it.

The entire business model for the company behind these spam faxes is built upon breaking the law.  Asking to be put on their "do not fax" list has no effect -- they don't care.  If enough of us file formal complaints, maybe we can get the FCC to take notice and shut them down.

Nuisance fax about Cancun vacation from 800-419-5431.  Our office receives one of these faxes at least once a week, if not more.

Has anybody thought about calling the (800)number listed and telling them to stop?

Calling them does not do anything.  I filed a report with the FCC and plan on filing one each and every time another of these comes through until they stop.

after returning from a cruise to the caribean I received the same fake usatoday fax from these folks giving this # to call. I wonder if USA today can sue them for infringment?

The best thing to do is to call as much as possible just keep pushing redial. Dont speek or say anything It is an 800# so it is free and will tie up there swithch board. This really gets them fried

Call them.  Press one of the number keys whenever they speak.  That annoys the hell out of telemarketing people as they listen to the deafening tone in their ear.

Same add for trip to Cancun.  I get it every week as well.  Cancun is nice, if you like cocaine and marijuana dealers on every corner.  Be careful not to look at anyone, you micht go home air freight instead of coach
