I just got the same message as Kim, and like Kim, I have no idea what they are up to.  I do know that I do not have unlimited text messages on my CALLING plan, so I hope it doesn't persist.

This looks like a scam and I didn't call or reply back.  It came from an unknown 313131 number that a card 5403 has been deactivated.  I don't have any cards ending in this number.  Banks would never text about this kind of stuff, it's not legal.  Hope that helps.

I got it too. Googled it.  Came here.  I did call it back and it said "the person you are trying to reach is unavailable right now.."  and I hung up.

Yep - I got the exact same message, figured it was spam. Very aggravating, since I also don't have an unlimited text plan. How do they get the number? I'm calling my cell company to be reimbursed/credited for those texts.

I googled the number and this site with your posts appeared. They text me the same text; I hate this crap, did u know they do it cuz if youtext back it charges you money. AT&T says if you text scam texts from computer systems/ programs set to text people that by law they can't charge you or text u ever again. Either way; I hope who ever is at the top of this scam gets hit by a car..,

Call your phone company and ask to have the number blocked.  Mine did it for a limited period of time--maybe it was 90 days...

313131 SMS is a company called www.eztexting.com that companies use to cold text people for business. I got one from them for Jackson Hewitt. Legitimate businesses use it but so do scammers. Never do business with people who use this service to cold text you. If you want to opt out just type STOP and hit reply and it will opt you out of getting anymore texts from them. I think it is a rotten business to be in that you would spend your day cold texting people to drum up business in the first place and so much abuse that can go on using it by scammers. If a company is that bad off, don't use them!!
