Same thing happened to me. It was some kind of robo message saying something about logging my IP address. Didn't give an agency or business name. Sounds like a scam. I'm not calling the number back.

Same, I believe a scam, left message on answering machine saying they were conducting an investigation of my ip address contacting them, and they could block my ip address.   No caller ID other than phone number, did not identify their company name or a person to contact,.   Sounds very bogus, not calling them back.

    Message from Microsoft:
    Quote:
Remember, Microsoft will never proactively reach out to you to provide unsolicited PC or technical support. Any communication we have with you must be initiated by you.

Cybercriminals often use publicly available phone directories, so they might know your name and other personal information when they call you. They might even guess what operating system you're using.

Once they've gained your trust, they might ask for your user name and password or ask you to go to a legitimate website (such as www.ammyy.com) to install Remote Access software that will let them access your computer to pretend to fix it. Once you do this, your computer and your personal information are vulnerable.

Do not trust unsolicited calls. Do not provide any personal information.

I have received numerous pre recorded messages over the past several weeks from this unidentified caller saying I needed to call 800-420-0564 or they block my IP address and take action against me for Cyber Laws. I called the number and the man that answered did not provide the name of the company nor could I barely make out what he was saying. I questioned him and he said he was with security. I asked how he got my info and he said he could not provide it due to security reasons. When I questioned him again he started yelling at me saying they had contacted me 66 times and I was just now getting back to them. He said did I know what I was doing to the cyber world and that he needed to get into my computer. I refused, informed him I received this same exact notification before and he got mad and hung up on me.  I tracked the caller ID # 407-545-7885 (which showed they were calling from Orlando, FL) to a company called California Geek Support. On the website they state they are GOVT Certified A++ Certified with BBB. I checked the BBB site and they are unknown as being registered. I have filed a complaint with BBB and with the Internet Crime Complaint Center.

My parents received tree phone calls from this number in a period of aout 4 hours two nights ago.  The guy was hard to understand but my mom did make out his name was "Tommy (Unable to understand last name) with Windows Security.  He told  her that her computer had been hacked and she needed to call the number back for further assistance.  If she didn't, her computer would be blocked and she could be arrested for illegal activity."

These are scammers operating out of Florida.  They prey on elderly people who can be easily fooled by these voicemails.  They claim an issue with your PC.  When you call, they direct you to a website and give instructions that allow them access to your Windows PC.  They then charge expensive fees for the "security software" they install to "clean up" your PC.  This software is malware or ransomware that can be used to steal your identity.  Ignore these calls.  Do not call them.  They have no ability to tie your phone number to your PC.  Unfortunately they likely rake in thousands every day from naive people.
