    Yes, this is a scam. Verizon will never call you. As per any scam, don't ever give personal info over the phone. Your SSN is NOT locked, the IRS does NOT accept Itune Gift Cards/Gift Cards in general to pay your taxes, there is no warrant out for your arrest (or is there?), you didn't win a vacation, the US does not give out Government grants, your grandchild most likely wasn't in an accident or calling from jail (call them)...Come on, people. Common sense!
