800-425-3470

Been getting scam calls over the past couple of days from someone who is spoofing the local electric company's 800 number. A recorded message tells us that our electricity will be cut off in 30 minutes if we don't pay overdue charges, and then the message gives us this number: 800-425-3470 to call to make a payment. 800-425-3470 is not the local electric company's number, but the number that shows up on the caller ID is the electric company's number. I have been trying to find out who the scam number is registered to, to no avail.

Yes! Just got a call from the same number. They said my electric bill was overdue and they were about cut it off and wanted me to go get a reload card and put money on it and send them then number!

Just got call from same number to our business phone stating our electric would be cut off in 30 mins if we didn't make a cash payment right away only cash would be accepted they said ..it is not the electric company it is a scan so please be aware of this..

Received a call about 45 mins ago and caller ID shows 888-216-3523 but the call back number on the message was 800-425-3470 and got the same message as the above, electric going to be cut off in 30 minutes if we didn't call back.  But right before that, I got a call that said an account on apple cloud had been compromised and not to use for any payments and to call 888-735-0223. Both messages were hard to distinguish and a lot of the words run together making it hard to tell everything they said.

Received a call to our company from a number that caller id reflected was Public Service Company. They gave this same number 800-425-3470. They asked for my account number and when I gave it, they knew our company name and our location. They told me I had to pay $736 in cash and to go to FAmily Doller right around the corner from our office. I was supposed to go there to purchase a prepay card called Money Pak and call them back with the number. AT that point, I put them on hold hell and called PSO on a different line. PSO had a recording that they were aware of a scam targeting their customers.
