Received phone call from Morgan from the Capital One Underwriting Department stating my interest rate on my credit card could be lowered and to call her back cause the offer is only good for 3 days.  Called Capital One's customer service line and confirmed number is a scammer.  Number is not associated to Capital One in anyway.

Just received my second call from that number in 2 days. Thanks for passing along the info you found out. Figured it was a scam.

I received same call from Morgan but she was from Chase, stating I could receive Interest rate reduction, offer good for 3 days. Wow

Received a call from this number stating it was Morgan from Capital One to offer an interest rate as low as 1%, but its only good for 3 days. The number showed to be calling from Behchokò, Canada which let me know this had nothing to do with Capital One.

I received a phone call from that same number stating they were an underwriter for capital one their name was Morgan. I called capital 1 myself. They told me that number was not associated with capital one and that it was most definitely a scam. Capital 1 is not in the business of lowering the interest rate of a binding contract. That interest rate is good only until the agreement has been met. And the loan is paid off.

Very same VM as above.  The best part is that I don't even own a Capital One Credit card, but apparently my payment history has been so good that they want to reduce my interest rate.  What a deal!!!    SCAM!

Recording from Morgan at the Underwriting Dept of Capital One claiming that may payment history entitles me to a lower interest rate of 1% on my Capital one account. Offer is only good for 3 days so hurry and call me back at 800-425-8096. Claims this will be the only call I'll receive. Problem is the caller id is 970-444-9697

Got a message from Morgan from Capital One Underwriting department for interest reduction on my credit card.  Said it would be the only call I would receive.  Have received it 3 times now.  Believe it to be a scam.

DEFINITE SCAMMERS - Voicemail left from "Morgan" regarding Capital One account - THESE ARE Scammers - how do they get away with using 800 numbers!  And why are there so many of these dishonest evil people in this world?  Per the Bible, these are some of the EVIL Devil followers who will be left behind to burn in eternal hell, as all who follow the devils evil ways will do.

Same--received a call from 'Morgan in the underwriting department at Capitol One' but it's a total scam.

It’s a debt collector possibly. The number on the caller ID was different than the requested call back #.   Message says ...it’s Morgan with capital one wanting to lower my interest rate. I don’t have an account with them! The phone number they called from I googled and it’s a Debit collector. Sneaky bastages!

I just received a call like this. The caller left a message. Did Capitol One give you an email address to send it?
