when I answer, I can hear somebody begin to talk, but then they hang up.

got a call from this number, but i failed to answer it since i dont answer strange numbers.

Do Not Call

They left a message: "Delete this message as it is not for you. This is Enhanced Recovery Company trying to collect a debt, please contact us at (...)".
Ridiculous!!!

Received a call from this number.  Recorded message left; no human to talk to.  tried to find website info the left, but couldn't find it.  Only debt I have is one in dispute for over 2 years and have requested numerous times to stop bugging me.  Will contact this company one more time, but do not want them calling my number again!

Whoever this is called me on my cell phone at 10:48am Central time on March 30th, 2011. My voice-mail picked-up, (I was at a doctor's appointment) A "Recovering Company" & left a recorded message to call back and left a reference number. Since this recession started Dec. '09, it seems OLD Bill Collectors are "Coming Out of the Closet", searching for 1994 etc. debts. Is that a sign of a Bad Economy or what ???

here is how it started with me.  yesterday morning I got a call from 1-202-569-8971  I picked up, the woman ask for (blank) first name only.  I said who is this, what did she want.  she said she was giving info on school.  I said I am (blank) first name only but for her not to call back I did NOT want her info.  Then this morning I get a call from 1-800-427-5933  I did not pick up but thought it was strange to get 2 calls close like that.  I use Vonage so my number is NOT listed.  I called and heard it was a collector, I picked 4 to speak with someone and told her I did NOT want them to call me, I said take me off your list and informed her I am on the NO call list.  she ask is my name (blank) first and last this time, I said NO.  the woman voice was the same as teh 202 number.    Is this legal?  they are using phishing tactics to confirm our name, then they call you back from a real number giving their legal statement that they are a collector collecting.  Is this type of thing legal?  I know the 2 had to be related if you look up 1-202-569-8971   that number has many complaints aswell I feel it is related as the 202 call had nothing to do with collecting a date, then 12 hrs later I get a call  and speak to a woman with the same voice.   be aware of this and note if this happen to ou also    this site has complaints on 1-202-569-8971

I have been receiving calls from this number every moring at 8:30am.  I am on the Do Not Call List.  Not sure they are or what they want.  The person they are looking for is not at this number.  They are all a pain in the a$$

Enhanced Recovery Debt Collectors robodialer calls multiple times per day and leaves messages to call them back. Wrong person, wrong name, and calls over and over again.

I keep getting calls for another person whom I do not know.  I have only had this number for a week.  Please take my number off your list Thank You

I have been receiving calls from #800-427-5933 & 800-459-3186 and when I pick up, there is no human!  It goes right to "hold music" so I hang up right away.  They always listen to the voice mail when I ignore the call, but never leave a message.  I know they are listening because the message they do leave is blank and only 1 sec. long!  I did just get a person named Deago who was nice, but was trying to get info out of me when I asked to take a message for the person (me) he was calling for.
