- PeterScammers. I got a call, they identified themselves as American Express representatives and asked me for personal information (year of birth, etc) - I hung up on them and told them not to call back, they called back 5 minutes later, and told me to call 1-800-433-0300 for 'confirming they were from American Express', and then I googled the number and got it was a scam. They spoke English and Spanish, but were not as polite or professional as an Amex employee.
- Caller: scammer - unknown
- JuanI got a call from that same number asking for personal information, before I answered any question I wanted to know the reason for the call and they didn't want to tell me.
- Caller: American Express
- jaydaily calls for weeks now. they say they are american express but of course they are not as I don't and have never had an american express account. if i am not busy i will banter with them for a few minutes. this obviously is a scam and no one should give them ANY personal info do not even agree that you are the person for whom they are asking.
- Caller: not american express
- OperaPossible Debt Collector. Sent them straight to security.
- Caller: AMEX, but probably not.
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- SteveThis Is American Express account services team. You can call them back at this number and theyll identify as Amex. Only reason I know this, I tried to add 4-5 new techs to our employee cards and kept getting notices about needing to send their info in. Had I known this was Amex when they called I couldve resolved this over the phone instead of waiting 6 weeks for my new cards.
- Caller: Amex
- Call type: Valid
