I've gotten 3 missed calls in a row for 3 nights in a row from this number. I'm 17 and have never scheduled a flight. I don't know what they want bit if they could stop calling at 2 in the morning, I'd appreciate it.

This was a legitimate call concerning for me. It was American Airlines flight notifying me that my flight was delayed.
I understand there are some of you have not done business with them and received a call anyway. There is the chance that they are calling an outdated number. I say this based on the fact that they called here a little over a year ago about a flight a former resident had booked. It appears that he never updated his contact info with American Airlines.

Automated voice said that my flight has been canceled. Really weird, because I didn't book any flights. Sketchy

I was sitting in my couch in my living room watching TV tonight when a call from 800-433-7300 came in. Didn't pick up. An automated voicemail was left on my phone saying flight 60 from Tokyo to Dallas Fort Worth is experiencing a delay ... and that flight updates can be obtained by calling 1-800-242-4444. I haven't flown AA for years. A scam. No doubt. Would like to know more, nevertheless.

I accidentally called this number and was immediately prompted to complete a survey. I hadn't realized at this point that it was the wrong number so I went ahead and did the survey. It was about what type of vacation I enjoy... then it said I "won a free cruise." I hung up and realized my mistake

My caller ID said "United States".  I thought it was another one of those IRS scams.  The IRS claims they will NEVER contact anyone by phone.

Just checked in online last night colour a flight I'll board in five hours with American airlines.  Got woken up in middle of night by an automated system that was silent in the other end.

I received a call, Sunday at 1:24PM. I do not pick up phone calls from any unsaved numbers. They left me an automated message saying that it was American Airlines and that flight # so-and-so from San Francisco to Dallas Fortworth is delayed. This was immediately after I browsed the web for flights from So. Cal to Honolulu, so I find that a bit odd. I don't know anyone who went from SF to Dallas, so either they were trying to scam me or someone put in the wrong phone # for their info.

I also forgot to say that I looked at flights from a different airline, not from American Airlines!!

Called to let me know about a flight delay for that evening. My dad was flying out that night, so I assume that's what it was about.

No call, but a $200 charge was billed to my debit card with description "AMERICAN *37300 TX".  I had recently used the debit card in the Baltimore airport for coffee on the way to Ft. Lauderdale.  I had no business with "American".  Had to cancel the card and now dispute the transaction.

It was American Airlines with a legitimate notification of a delay for the flight my son was taking (I was listed as an emergency contact.)  They left a message on my answering machine.
