Health Advocates?!?!? They called on my private cell number and said call 18004353457 e717.

I received the same call today, the scary part is I've only given out my cell# to Hospital administrators and the caller knew I have a brother.A serious breach of privacy!

I got a message call from 1-800-435-3457 x2717 from Gloria Rivera.  I called the phone number back and it did not work.  The call was from Health Advocates.

I called the 818-285-2446 phone #.  The call did go through and was able to speak with Gloria.  They called to see if they could refer him to MediCal Program.

A very distant relative received an annoying call from Erick, 800 435 3457 x2831 asking for me.  Who/what is Health Advocates??!  A scam or what? I feel my privacy been violated.  We need to put a stop to the intrusive calls from "Health Advocates."

I received a call from this 800 number and when I tried to return the call it would not go through because it could not be reached from my calling area. I tried to get the help of the phone co. to no avail, so I resorted to Google and found this site. Can anyone tell me about Health Advocates. They said the call was about a relative. It just happens the relative in question has passed away recently.

Health Advocates is a non-profit organization that helps people with getting Medical and they are very good. It is not a Scam or anything bad.

My boyfriend received a message today from Valerie at Health Advocates 1800-435-3457 ext. 2722. From what I've garnered it makes sense, I've recently been hospitalized, and was just denied Social Security Disability, I'm on TCMS waiting for Medi-cal. So is this legit?

Hi, let me tell you a little about Health Advocates. Health Advocates is not a scam. They received your number from a hospital that they are partnered with. They help people with Social Security Benefits, Medi-cal etc. Hospitals refer them to you, vice versa. They are an advocates group that screens patients and try to assist them with benefits

Are there two entities with the same name? California Health Advocates vs. Health Advocates LLC? One is a scam that bullies you into applying for social services, the other is not?

my brother only put me down as an emergency contact when he was in the hospital after being hit by a truck....

They are trying to get you to become responsible for your brother's hospital bill. Or to get you to apply for social benefits - but if he does not qualify they'll make YOU pay.

This outfit is a debt collector that's part of the hospital, masquerading as "Health Advocate."

I have no medical insurance but had to go to a local emergency room for treatment, which the hospital performed. After receiving about $25,000 in medical bills and threatening letters, this outfit called on my friend's cell phone.

The caller identified herself as being from "Health Advocates" - a really underhanded way of making some poor person like myself think they would help me pay those outrageous bills. Funny, how they never bother going after all the illegal aliens who've bankrupted state services - they're just targeting US citizens, especially Whites, to intimidate.  

I'm extra pissed off and in the mood to really humiliate some dumb 20-something PC woman who thinks she's going to intimidate me, so maybe I'll call and be worse to her than her tyrannical, millionaire, penny-pinching Israeli, Persian or Russian boss who's running this thief operation.

Nice try, "Former Employee."  How much did these scumbags pay you to do their bidding?  The only justice when ObamaCare is enacted is that maybe you'll lose your propaganda job to some other incompetent slug because a demented racial quote has to be filled.  At least, the person replacing your probably won't literate enough be able to write a coherent sentence and spew the type of lies your just did here.

scammers..they called after my brother was hospitalized after a serious car accident & has no insurance.
They masquerade as 'social worker wanting to help my brother get Medi Cal..
When i asked "well why don't you apply for SSI at the same time?" (medi cal will pay the hosp..SSI will pay my brother so he isn't homeless until he is strong enough to go back to work..both his legs were badly broken)
Because we need to do the MediCal first....thennn we can refer you over to our SSI dept.."..:so lets get back to the rest of your brothers details, so we can put this application in".
Translation:..."We plan to get the money for the hospital...one way or the way..& we care less about the patients needs, or whats best for them"..
Stay away is what i did..And i filed the SSI application & was informed that if/when the application is approved, Medi Cal will be included as part of that package.  We don't need to deal with this parasites at all..for any reason..
File the paper work yourself is my advice, or through a recommended lawyer.  We chose binder, as they are definatley the very biggest law firm out there dealing in this area.  All is well now..And the hospital WILL be paid..& my brother taken care of..
This would NOT have been the case if i had become involved with the pushy rude woman from HEALTH ADVOCATES..ie hospital hustlers

And what you also don't know is the hospital itself has programs to help with the bills. You have to call the billing office and request those papers..   They have several types of help from full to partial! And some hospitals have whats called charity care as well!
