The second round of harassing phone calls from the General Revenue Corporation! Originally called me from 888-843-9002, now calling from this number. They say they are calling on behalf of Everest College on a 'personal business matter'. Never returned their calls, blocked them. Google 'em and see the massive lawsuits against them!

After filing a complaint with the FCC, still getting calls from 800-436-3904. Now the recorded message says "your call cannot be completed as dialed. Please hang up and call our main office at 317-849-6510"

The info below is posted on another site about 317-849-6510:

    Sallie Mae
    11100 USA Pkwy
    Fishers, IN 46037-9203
    317-849-6510

It also has different scammers names listed on there as well. Next I decided to check this number out on the BBB.org site and this is what showed:

    General Revenue Corporation
    8320 Craig St.
    Indianapolis, IN 46250
    317-849-6510

    Type of Business: Collection Agency
    No BBB accreditation
Aliases/different names used: General Revenue Corporation, GRC, SLMA, Student Assistance Corporation
    Different phone #'s:
    317-595-1551
    317-849-6510
    800-565-4453
    800-635-3743
    800-635-3786
    866-640-5204

The collection agency manager is Thomas Smith.

So the summary is that Sallie Mae has different businesses using one number that is the same and running other businesses in other locations under different numbers. If you search the address of the General Revenue Corporation on bing.com and click the bird's eye view you will see that it's a huge place full of vehicles in the lot. I just wanted to research and make many more innocent residential people like me aware of this issue of sort. This will help make mine and you all case stronger when reported to the right authorities.

We receive 3 recorded messages a day from 800-436-3904. Since it is a robotic message, I cannot understand the name of the company.  It sounds like....(something) Kaplan from GRC, calling for (my son) on behalf of (the school he attended), regarding a personal business matter.

He is current on all school payments, we have not requested loan modifcation/forebearance and we are on the national Do Not Call list.

I just called the number and told them to cease and desist for the above reasons.  They said they would stop calling.

    I doubt they will...

This place called me today, But they are just helping me gather recorded
proof of there harassment, for the last few years I have had a phone service
called Magic Jack, It worked through my computer and I could call anywhere
in the U.S. for 19.95 a year. I decided to switch back to a  land line about a month
ago and stopped using the computer phone, But the service is still paid for until the
end of the year, So when anyone calls the Magic Jack number and leaves a message
they think they are leaving it on my home phone. But Magic records it and sends it to
me via my e-mail, I can open, listen and copy to CD with windows media player,
The e-mail also tells me the real phone number the call came from. No one in my home are behind on bills, written any bad checks or have done anything to warrant these unwanted calls so I think I will be filing suit soon, I hear I could get up to $500.00 for each call.
I’m pretty sure this whole problem started after my son got out of college and sent a few resumes through the internet applying for jobs. His resume had all his contact information
on it and I’m sure that is the only way they could have tied his name to the Magic Jack number. It’s really to bad about the only way to find a job these days is through job sites these days, it seems 99% of the employers only post job openings on the internet and require you send them your resume to be considered for an interview, It a catch 22 if you send your resume out can you be sure it is going to a real company looking for help or
to one of these low life’s just gathering personal information in order to may be sell and steal your identity . ( this is scary times ) I have change my sons resume to say he is sorry but do to possible identity  theft on the internet he is not including any personal contact
information accept his e-mail address and if the possibly new employer is interested in an interview please contact him through that, It is really bad if you think about it, When you post or send a resume on the internet, Your telling everyone that see it your complete life
history as fare as Education and Jobs you have had. .I’m just glad my son did get a job and wont have to send out anymore resumes, But I have no idea how long the resumes that are out there will continue to cause problems, Now he has to start keeping an eye on his credit report to be sure no one did steal his identity. Please if you are like we where be careful sending out or posting resumes with personal contact information included it could screw up your life forever.

They keep calling, on behalf of Everest (steals your money and gives you nothing in return) College.

I decided to call them back today.  They asked to confirm my address.  Asked if I was still going to school.  She said my loan would go back into educational deferment.  Asked if it was okay for autodialers or texts to reach me at my cell.  I said no.  Asked if I wanted to add another name to my account.  I said no.

I see no reason for them to call me again.  Not sure why they needed to reach me to begin with, and I don't see why the lazy [***] at Everest couldn't call and get this information on their own.  I don't owe Everest any money, so this doesn't appear to be a debt collector.  They didn't try to sell me anything.  I really don't understand it at all.
