Total scam and a con.

"Deanna Smith" called and stated that she needed to speak with whomever is in charge of our company's AT&T long distance account.  Our receptionist specifically asked Deanna if it was a sales call and she said no.  The receptionist then asked if Deanna actually worked for AT&T, and Deanna said yes.  We were given this number to call back: 1-800-441-5392.  When I called back, it was a competing long distance company's toll-free number (Integrated Services Inc), and the receptionist there told me that there are no staff members in Customer Service or Sales named Deanna Smith, and that no one would have called claiming to be from AT&T.

This is just another one of those con companies that try to trick you into changing your long distance service provider without even realizing this.  Don't fall for it, ISI is a total scam.

Same woman called again today, same caller ID, claiming to work for CNBI.  SCAM.  When I started to ask her not to call again, she hung up on me.  I've been working with my AT&T business rep to try and get this woman fired for misrepresenting her relationship with AT&T.

I received a call from this number at my business today.  It was a fast-talking man who said that he was from Century Link.  When he asked for the correct spelling of my name, I asked him how he had it spelled.  He said that he only had the business name.  I thought this was weird, so I asked him to fax me the information that he was telling me about since I don't do any changes to accounts over the phone.  I said that I wanted to read about this "deal" that he was giving me first.  He immediately hung up on me.

Someone called wanting to speak to the person in charge of our Verizon account, regarding "service fees."

Another call. They're persistent. This time it was a real person wanting to speak to the person in charge of our Verizon account.

Didn't answer. They didn't leave a message. I might answer an unknown number if there is a name along with the phone number. If near a computer, I check 800notes.com. If the number is listed near the top of a search, I list the number as junk and give it a distinctive ring so I don't bother answering ever. Usually, a particular phone number stops calling after a week or two. Yes, I am on the DNC list.

Silence on the other end.  They have tried to call a couple times this week, won't answer anymore.

Called several times last two days, dead air.
Called the number back, ISI is a telemarketer.
Asked them to remove my number from their list.

These idiots called our business again today at 1342 hrs.  A woman asked to speak with whoever was in charge of our Verizon account.  The boss answered and told her that 'he' wasn't available.  I told the boss, next time let me handle the call.  He makes it too easy for scammers/spammers by simply brushing them off.  I like to torment them a little first.

Interesting that this alleged 'company' seems to represent themselves as calling from various, competing phone companies (or allegedly calls on behalf of same.)  That right there alone is a HUGE red flag.

Caller ID read "Toll Free Call". Called the company line and I just put it straight to hold. I don't answer toll free calls. Hopefully they won't call back since they got no voice response.

Sooo... I got a very different one from this number.  One of my employees got scammed by Yellowpagesonline.net.... they called from this number telling me that I'm up for collection of charges for 2 yrs of advertising.....

These flaming sphincters called our business at 0929 hrs this morning.  When I answered, there was only silence, prolonged silence.  I waited a moment or two and then disconnected.  Unwanted sales (or scam) calls are annoying enough.  The least they could do is give us victims a chance to annoy the caller in revenge by picking up the phone on their end seeing the idiots are the ones who called in the first place.

they call me repeatedly even though my number is on the do not call list (fat lot of good that does).  i spoke to them once and quizzed the person and she claimed to be from my phone company (i think it calls itself century link this week) even though they clearly are not.  they say that century link hires them to contact me (WTF) to offer me a cut rate on my phone bill.  now they call every day and i pick up the phone and put them onto the person in my office who handles the phone account (my radio).  what a bunch of slimy idiots

No message, 50+ calls in 1 week, reported to Do Not Call, but does no good.  The company is Integrated Services, 5 Revere Dr., One Northbrook Pl., Northbrook, IL. 60062..The company is registered with Michigan's Public Svc. Commission.  I called them, but was told they only take compaints from Michigan residents.  This makes a lot of sense since, they registered Integrated Svcs.., a company that isn't even in Michigan, that calls all over the US.  I wonder how much the paid Michigan's Public Svc. Commission for this deal?

Claimed to be AT&T this time. Wanted to change our long distance but didn't have any of our information on hand. Here is their actual info:

Got a call from this number, dead air.  I did *69 and got ISI, said I could leave a message by pressing 2.  Have been calling them repeatedly and leaving messages for them.  I'm sure they are enjoying them as much as I enjoyed the dead air.  Lots of fun.  :)
